I just got a brand new PC a few days ago. I just installed Roxio CD Creator 5 to burn a cd for my brother, and the Software gives me an error message saying it doesn't reconize any CD-RW drive. The specs for my computer say it has DVD+/-RW, and a DVD Rom drive. I figured that a dvd burner drive would be able to burn cd's as well. Does anyone know the problem with m PC, or is it even posible to burn cd's with a dvd burner drive? Casue if I can't burn CD's this really sucks!

Yes what ^^he^^ said. Most if not all DVD burners I have come across and played with, have burned both on thd DVD burner drive. You said it isnt recognizing your CD-RW drive? It should say that because you said it doesnt have one. In the options of the software, try to find an option of where you want it to read from. Point it to your DVD+/-RW drive. Check the drivers as well.

Thanks for both your help. I went looking around roxio's site and found a patch for older versions of roxio easy cd creator that let them recognize newer drives on newer computer released after the software came out. Thanks again for both of your help.
