Today I was searching a Rom site and a pop up came up and you couldn't close it until you hit "Yes".Like I do everytime this comes up I shut down my PC with AOL on.But this time was diffrent,I turned my PC back on and all the colors were messed up.So far I put the colors back to 256 like it was. There is still a problem,Mostly everything I see on the screen looks like it was printed on paper. You can see small tiny dots in the backgrounds of pages.

Is there anyway to make everything have a smoother look again?

seems like this popup may have corrupted your driver for the graphics card try re-installing it again see if that helps.

If you run into a pop up like that again. Just press Alt+Ctrl+Del and close your browser.

Try downloading a popup blocker, even tho one is built into AOL they dont always work that well, it'll be double the protection as the other pop-up blocker may prevent some that AOL can't.

isn't this supposed to be general discussion? lol, just playing. I can see why you wanted to post in the Deception forum, as your more likely to get seen and get a response back. Though I think that it's cool/weird that you came to MK Online of all places to find a solution (although, some very intelligent people are members)

i've run into this pop-up many times. It will attempt to make you download a trojan disguised as a media or script DL. This'll sometimes work for me (instead of doing the CTRL+ALT+DEL thing and having to shut down the program) I can't remember exactly how to do this, so bear with me:

First 'X' out of the pop-up. The message saying you need blah blah blah to view this site will appear, so click 'OK'. The prompt to download will again pop up, and this time click 'No'. The 'OK' message might appear again, so 'X' out.

Like i said, I don't remember the order exactly, and it may take a couple trys.

Anywaze, make sure you don't have any other nasty side-effects like Spyware, backdoors or Worms

Umm this is in general discussion, maybe you should take a look at what section your in wink,

The close X thing works in closing the box, but the damage of a highjack of some kind has already been done that's what these type of pop-up boxes are for, the best thing is to have what i have suggested and that's a good pop-up blocker as well as the one in-built such as AOL's this should prevent the box from appearing in the first place.
