I wasn't sure where to post this, but I figured this is the
most appropriate forum.
Ok, as we all know, traditional MK games have been brilliant, whereas spin-off games like Mythologies have
been a bit.....y'know....****.
What I want to know is:
What do you think would make a great MK spin-off game?
I'd like to see a game like Dynasty Warriors 4 or
Freedom Fighters, maybe set in the MK3 era.
You'd pick a fighter and join a resistance group
fighting off the Outworld invadors with guns, swords
or hand-to-hand combat. Alternatively, you'd choose
a baddie character like Motaro and try and crush the
pesky humans.
For anyone who hasn't played the Dynasty Warriors
games, I'm talking about being part of an army
taking part in a HUGE battle in fully free roaming
environments, not just one guy running through a
linear route like corriders and stuff.
Your thoughts and ideas?

A TRip to HEll featuring our favourite hellspawned
ninja....Scorpion...basically wander around collecting things..(like scrolls) and fend off
demons and Oni with your spear and sword...and after you colelct the scrolsl you can go to any realm you wish...killing Quan Chi and taking his amulet will allow you more freedom in the realms.
and it will be just an open-ended Realm world.
and you can go through time...

Online or massive single-player adventure game in the same vein as a Zelda or Mario adventure, but retaining the distinct MK qualities. You choose character-based missions and play them out, developing the story and characters, and reinacting important events from MK's past, present, and future. Anything but that horrid SF.

a survival horror like game starring striker, well why him for the simple reason that he didnt knew anything bout the outworld.so the end of the game could be when you defeat some enemy and find raydenalso i think that it could be cool to use guns and fighting skills in a survival horror game.

A Final Fantasy like RPG, cool graphics and all but bloodier. First one could be based at the time of the original Kung Lao and ending in his death by Goro. The second one could be based just before and through the first tournament. Reintroducing the original characters and giving more background on their storylines. The third one could be through the 2nd and 3rd MK games, the false tournament and outworld's invasion of earth. The fouth one will be based on MK4's storyline, and do it right this time in regards to the characters. I want to see an evil Shinnok, not the wuss there was in the MK4 game. The fifth one could start with MK:DA and include the stuff from MK:D.
an MMORPG(massivly multiplayer online role playing game) like everquest, there would be many worlds, that you could transport to and complete missions on worlds and unlocking characters, or designing a new character or designing and mk character (frost in pink instead of blue, you get my drift) plus kombats and wars, clan wars too, everything mixed in!
that would be my all time favourite game EVER

A Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 game like Onimusha where you pick your favorite character to battle
scenarios. Let's say you picked Sub-Zero. At one
battle he could battle Cyrax. Along the way, you'll
pick up scrolls to teach you new moves or fatalities. At the end, you could play a 3D Ultimate MK3.

I would play it, so long as your character was fully customizeable (sp?). You get to choose your race, gender, looks, outfit, fighting style, special moves, etc. (Or at least earn the fighting style, special moves, and fatalities.) Also, I would hope that the characters would be limited to just one element. None of this water-ninja that can summon lighting, okay.

I would do a mythologies game for the back story of Baraka. Show how he started as an outcast in his village and later ended up working for Quan Chi. Play as Baraka and learn moves and shit as you work through the game.
I'd do a flash-back side-story (akin to MK: Mythologies take) when all of Earthrealm was under assault by Shao Kahn, only I'd make it more like an action RPG. I'd have the player be a new character, someone unfamiliar to the series, and have him go throughout the realms, Outworld, Edeia, Hell, etc., in a quest to find the truth and stop the assault, along the way meeting up with classic characters like Sub-Zero or Liu Kang who would join your party to assist in their struggle, while fighting grunt Outworld thugs and classic MK bosses, like Shinnok, Goro, Shang Tsung, and eventually Shao Kahn. Fatality.
