Hey guys,

This thread is sort of an invitation that I’m extending to all fans of fighting/action games around the net. Please read carefully, and if this sounds like something you might like, let me know.

A long while ago, I started a written "project" here on MKO; a script-based, episodic action series that stemmed from from a messy thread I barely remember now. Anyway, I canceled this project after about 20 episodes because I was running out of free time, and I didn't think there were enough people involved. Well, I've recently decided to take this project up again and
"remake" it all the way from Episode 1. Why? Because I feel that my writing style has gone through some significant improvement, and the series would be a lot better off, and a lot more entertaining, if I started again (so don't even bother looking at the old thread or I'll come to your house). And in the middle of all the "serious business" I'm going through right now, it's good to have a little "out-there" hobby to partake on smile.

Anyway, this “project” is a series, like the many out there on TV right now. Of course, I won’t have the tools and resources necessary to make a full-fledged TV series until I get a degree; what I CAN do as of right now is write.

“Deadly Dominion” is a script-based, online, episodic series (this just means that it’s written in script format, to give the reader the feeling of watching an actual show on a screen). It is primarily an action genre, chock-full of fight scenes and action sequences. Still, it blends many other genres into one: fantasy, sci-fi, thriller, and even comedy. It boasts a large cast of almost 20 characters, from heroes, to villains, to anti-heroes, to anything in-between. Each character is unique, so everyone is sure to have a favorite as soon as he or she is introduced. In short, this is a written series broken up into weekly (or so) episodes that is sure to appeal to anyone out there who enjoys action films/shows, fantasy film/shows, or fighting games (since many of my ideas came from tidbits of other similar pieces).
I have the pilot episode written already and will release it when and if enough people show interest in seeing it and the ones that will come from it.

What I’m going to be doing in this thread (hopefully it stays) is sharing a bit of the story with you guys before I actually put up the pilot episode. I’ll be doing that by posting biographies of the characters. I’m sure that anyone who sticks with me here is going to eventually find a character they like above all others, will like the feel of the story and, hopefully, start anticipating the actual episodes.

I’ll start with the “protagonist” (the quotations are due to the fact that there’s not definite protagonist in the literal sense of the word). Through this guy’s bio, however, you can understand the premise of the story and be ready for the future bios. Like you all right now, he's also clueless in the beginning.

"Life couldn’t be better as you traveled the world with your father, sharing in his unusual, yet admirable love for the art of self-defense, cheering for him as he competed in worldwide martial arts tournaments and using his cheers as your fuel to be just as skilled as he. He was everything you needed to be happy, and his lifestyle is what fulfilled you as you embarked on a new adventure to a foreign land time after time. Whenever the constant trips wore you out, he would readily return to China; although you were both born in the Americas, the one place you could call home was located on the far east, near your long-time trainer and “second father”, Master Akio. Truly, your life could not get any better.

Alas, there came the day when your father left, mute to information on his destination... you felt something horrible in the pit of your stomach. You knew something was wrong, yet could do nothing as he stepped into the boat off the China coast and waved, growing smaller into a fade. How you wish that hadn’t been the last time you saw your father... how you wish you never received the news that he had mysteriously died, so that you could at least hang onto false hope day after day... how you wish you weren’t so angry over his death that you vowed to do whatever it took to find out what fate truly had befallen the only family you had left on Earth.

And that anger was a portal. And that portal led you to a distant land, an unknown world. Soon, you were no longer home, but in the foreign terrain of a power-hungry governor, devilish beings, a dangerous competition for the ultimate prize, and few allies and many enemies at every turn. Yet somehow you knew that through all this mess, through all this hazard, therein lied the truth... and you were going to unearth that truth no matter how many times your life was threatened."

~ CLARK “MACE” RYDER ~

"That is the story of Clark Ryder, known in the world of martial arts competitions as “Mace” as a tribute to his unbreakable skill and devastating blows. For him, happiness really was a short phase of life, to be replaced by fury over his father’s cloaked death and obsession with the truth that was never told. With the help of his father’s long-time friend, Master Akio, Mace learns of the most common link between all races of the universe: the art of self-defense. With this knowledge, he is propelled into the distant world known as Aurania, where a renowned tournament is set to begin as intergalactic civilizations compete for the ultimate existing item, crafted by the angels themselves. And as the once sacred tournament is set to turn into a bloodthirsty game manipulated by a corrupt soul, Mace finds himself closer than ever to the hidden truth surrounding his father’s secret life and death..."

Current Age: 28
Experience: Trained by renowned martial arts master, household name in various tournaments.
Most Notable Facial Features: Stubble and unkempt black hair
Usual Combat Attire: Open blue jacket, red belt, knife straps and cloth, white full-length breeches, navy boots.
Most-used Weapon: Long Chinese Sword

His is the simplest, most to-the-point, non-complex bio, which makes him a good candidate for the first introduced. With the basis of the story, you might see how MK influenced the idea. Don't worry, though, the more you know about the rest of the story and the cast, the more apparent its uniqueness will become. I’ll post the next one in a while and, of course, I welcome all responses.

Jack Burton likes the premise of this project you're starting...

I happen to be a writer myself, so I look forward to seeing what you post. I'll do my best to find adequate time to read everything you post pertaining to this project.

However...I do have to agree with these other users for the moment. Is this going to be strictly your own project, or will you be looking for creative input?

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

o.o ... well those who were involved with it last time really enjoyed the story, despite the necessary reading. People read books and enjoy it even though they aren't the author! So there's no reason you guys wouldn't like partaking in this if it's really intriguing and keeps you entertained...
In terms of creative input, I'd definitely appreciate feedback, but I'm perfectly fine with deeper involvement from anyone who wants it. Just throw me your ideas.
But like I said, this little project had a pretty nice following last time, so I'm confident it's entertaining and worthwhile. I don't see how I'd be hogging all the fun just for being the creator lol.
Get back to me on that. And I'll put up a new bio in a little while.

Jironobou and my queen sindel, will you two knock it off? I can't stand people who don't know how to read so they knock actual writers down. He's doing this for you guys to entertain you all by giving you an action packed series that unlike a tv show, can go on for etternity. Us MK fans like to gripe and complain about not having any mk series or mk like series on TV and here is a hot new series staring you right in the face and you ignore it and laugh it away. Its a TV SHOW but its in text, thats all. Leo i'm interested but you probably won't get any one who has an actual IMAGINATION on this site. Instead of us fans creating our own fan fiction and supporting one another's work like every other fanbase in the world, we just love to sit back and complain while we wait for the "suits" to do something. Its sad really.

Well, thanks for the support, P.A. I'm glad you're interested. I made this thread here, but I actually have others like it on various boards. But I know from experience that something like this really appeals to MK fans, so it would be dumb not to bring it back here.

MQS, do you have anything in mind? I'm open to any ideas. As of right now, though, it's really just me presenting you guys with something.

~ LEONA WELLINGTON ~

Hers is a story of a girl taken from innocence by the cruelty of desperation and cradled by the bloody arms of sin. Leona was a young teenage girl like any other, enjoying a tranquil existence and caring for her sick mother in her spare times. But life is hardly ever fair to those who deserve it, and Leona’s mother passed away shortly following her 18th birthday. Left with no shoulder to cry on, she suffered many days as she struggled to make a living whilst dealing with a loneliness she had never before known. Life only got harder, and it eventually threatened to send a young girl to the streets, without a home to call her own.

That is when Bella appeared: a friend with an open hand outstretched to a lost soul. Bella introduced Leona to her “family”: a brotherhood of those who take lives in exchange for the paper that makes the world go ‘round. Leona herself embraced the life of the assassins-for-hire, determined to take revenge on the concept of life that took her mother away. Each time she sunk her blade into the neck of a stranger, more and more of her emotions seeped from her flesh as did the blood of her kill. With time, Leona became an empty shell of a human being, a robotic woman who awoke each morning intending only to breathe and murder. She made a fool of life, and felt she would have been happy in doing so if only she could still access the capacity to feel she had already lost. Yet, deep down, she knew things were good enough for someone who committed the biggest of sins day after day; at least she still had Bella, who was now the sister she never had, and she had the “family”, who despite their profession, gave her love.

But so it was that life was more cold-hearted than Leona herself... one fateful, dark night, a man invaded the secret hideout of the family, and brought with him a large group of fighters with supernatural abilities Leona had never witnessed in a human being before. They attacked the assassins mercilessly and silently. Leona joined her comrades and fought against the intruders, but their strange powers were too much to overcome, and one by one, those who had taken hundreds of lives had their own swiped in an earth-shattering instant. Leona managed to escape with Bella, who was gravely injured in battle. In a tear-filled moment under the sad watch of a silver moon, Bella felt Death’s touch as Leona, for the first time in years and the second time in life, cried over a dead body. This event is what sealed away the last remnants of Leona’s emotions. With no one left to love, she taught herself how to shut down and focus only on the foulest of wishes her heart could desire: and it told her to seek out the one responsible for her family’s death. With time, Leona discovered his name. Now it was only a matter of hunting him down and, rather than spilling his blood in a moment, make him suffer a slow death worthy, from killer to killer. Varius Knox... “Vice”... would be a human guinea pig in an experiment of pain.

Current Age: 22
Experience: Mistress of the art of assassination, trained by a brotherhood of deadly assassins
Most Notable Facial Features: Bright, cat-like green eyes, flowing, jet-black hair, blood-red lipstick
Usual Combat Attire: Tight, crimson-and-black breast covering, blood-red leather shorts and forearm-length gloves, high-heel boots
Most-used Weapon: Sais with blades protruding from handle / Occasionally uses firearms

But what is the difference with this? Oh I get it, because he's not someone "official" he possibly can't write an excelent series that would keep your attention? Or you think you're above a forum series? Too good to read something written on a message board? I'm thinking of ideas leo:)

apparently you are the one who can't read, i said it sounds fun..... for the writer, i never said i wouldn't enjoy reading it or that i wouldn't care...maybe you should get the writers opinion before making accusations

i plan on reading this. Leo was a pretty good writer for the MKA endings, and if he said he's even better than he was, this will be awe-inspiring

When it comes right down to it, MK fans typically don't seem receptive to new things, be it characters, plotlines, etc. One of the biggest criticisms I've heard about the newer games/TV series was that the new, made-up characters didn't seem all that original. Jack Burton, personally, wasn't very thrilled by them, but they grew on him.

I credit my perspective as a writer a little more than my MK loyalty for my gradual acceptance of the new content MK has to offer...

All that aside, I honestly think as both a writer and MK fan, I will enjoy this project proposed here. I'm not looking to take this over at all, or have my own hand in writing this. I just think I could be of help when it comes to getting second opinions, etc.

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

Despite the fact that the arguments bumped the thread (lol), let's all try to be friends here. There was probably a bit of misunderstanding on both parts, but what it comes down to is I really appreciate the support and interested minds, and anyone who doesn't wanna get involved with this just, well, doesn't have to get involved with this.

I think I've found a very good web site to post this series. I've signed up there and am also going to advertise this in there a little bit with the bios.

Speaking of the bios, I'm dying to get through them as fast as possible, lol. They're really old news to me by now, but they're also a very good way for people to warm up to the series without being slapped in the face with a full-blown episode.

I'm gonna go ahead and throw two this time, since I haven't been around in a while:

~ ALI PIERCE ~

Ali was born a daughter to struggling parents. A confident, attractive young girl, she had always seen her meager life as a prison, binding her to the same spot of continuous unhappiness and keeping her from wandering into greener pastures. Sick of a routine that would never lead her anywhere, she eventually drew enough courage from within to leave her family, and on a black night, said a fulfilling goodbye to all she knew yet wished she never did. But soon, Ali came to the harsh realization that courage is not enough to guarantee happiness. The answer to her lonesome, brutal quest for a better life came in the form of an invitation to join the ranks of a powerful, underground criminal organization whose roots were established throughout the United States and parts of Asia. Unable to grant herself the luxury of choice, she readily accepted. For years, Ali found herself sinking into the dirty criminal world, yet forcing herself to stay afloat through the certainty that, from the moment she came into this corrupt lifestyle, there was no way out. She was trained in unarmed and weapon combat, and with forced effort, rose through the ranks and proved her worth, eventually coming face-to-face with the head of the organization in China, a dangerous man known to others only as “Vice”. He had a special assignment for Ali: she was to murder the family of a detective who was placing the organization in serious risk, as a warning.

Ali asked for time to plan the murder, but deep down, she knew she was incapable of taking the life of the man’s innocent children. Staring at the picture of the set of twins, she came to the realization that her soul was never tainted to the point where she could succeed in the organization. She was going to reject Vice’s assignment, and with it, sign her own death sentence... unless she could sign Vice’s first. Ali was confident in her skills... she was going to kill the organization at its source. She arranged a private meeting with Vice and, as soon as he walked through the door, attacked. The ensuing fight was intense, but Ali could not gain the upper hand long enough to defeat and kill the criminal mastermind. Before long, Vice’s men were bursting through the door and firing at Ali mercilessly. Using her remaining energy and dexterity, she threw herself out the window of the meeting room and ran for her life. She escaped from sure death that night, but was injured during the battle and immediately found herself roaming the streets of China with no money, stamina, and the assurance that Vice’s thugs would gun her down the minute they found her. So came an angel into her life, a martial arts master by the name of Akio, who took her into his home and nursed her back to full health. “I won’t be able to live in peace anywhere on this Earth”, she said. And with Master Akio’s kindness came the chance to start a new life... in a place far from Earth.

Ali was told of Master Akio’s ties with a sacred tournament based on the art of self-defense, its name known across the universe and its countless civilizations. Thus she was given the title of guide to the Earth-born warriors who would be making their way to the land known as Aurania, host of the upcoming tournament. With moist eyes and a heart bursting with gratitude to the man who saved her life, she accepted.

Current Age: 27
Experience: Trained by Black Bullet Organization and, partially, by renowned martial arts master
Most Notable Facial Features: Short bob-cut hair, scrutinizing eyes
Usual Combat Attire: White sleeveless shirt and arm bandages, light-blue jeans, white combat boots
Most-used Weapon: Nunchaku

~ VICE ~

Throughout his 34 years of life, Vice has accomplished something not many can say they have: he has built an empire that stretches across the seas, ruled by an iron fist of corruption, greed, and malice that translates into a cash flow like few human beings have ever witnessed. Most deem his success a sickening feat, gained through methods that should trigger pride in no living person... but the head of what is known as the Black Bullet Criminal Organization has extensive power and underlings spread across the United States and East Asia, all quick to disagree. To Vice, the process is irrelevant, and what matter are the rich results; the adrenaline-filled and perilous methods are just a bonus.

Yet Vice has encountered an unlikely obstacle in his path... an obstacle that threatens to put an end to his empire, and send it crumbling down under the weight of his spilled blood. This dangerous opposition comes in the shape of a young assassin who has been on his tail for the past year. They have met face-to-face before, and memories that Vice did not even know he had came rushing back into existence: for some reason, he did not forget the brilliant emerald eyes he’d looked into when he led the attack against the brotherhood of paid killers... those eyes filled with false innocence that cloak the whims of a bloodthirsty beast in the form of an enticing woman.

But Vice and Leona’s last meeting was enough to alert Vice to the danger that steps everywhere he last stood. The assassin has proved herself impossible to dispatch, able to outsmart and slither out of his organization’s grasp, and unrelenting in the pursuit of her prey. Every day he breathes is another step closer Leona takes in his direction. He cannot risk allowing her blades to steal from him his absolute power with a rapid swing... and so he comes into contact with the one truly responsible for his attack on Leona’s brotherhood... to demand aid in a time where death lurks in every dark corner.

Current Age: 34
Experience: Head of Black Bullet Organization
Most Notable Facial Features: Gelled-back brown hair and rigid jaw line
Usual Combat Attire: Open white vest, rough leather glove with bulky bracelets, black formal pants, black shoes.
Most-used Weapon: Bulky, two-handed mace / AK-47 firearm

smile Yes, most of the storylines do intertwine, which makes for a compelling story, IMO.

So here's the thing... I'm going to be putting up the first part of the pilot episode (yeah, I couldn't introduce everyone in few pages) in very little time, so I dont think I'll be able to get through all the bios. For that reason, I'll go ahead and put up two that are very important. The lead villains, you could say, of the series.

These are the longest bios of all, but don't be intimidated! Just start reading and you should be hooked within the first few sentences! Thanks to the people who are enjoying these.

~ FALCAR LOTUS ~

The feelings of hate and bitterness can be seen as seeds, planted deep within a young soul, where it takes root and feeds on its own thirst for wicked reparation of itself. These seeds were placed within an ambitious Heiligian youngster by the name of Falcar, who was born into the royal family of the King and Queen of Heilig. From a young age, he had dreams of himself towering above the entire planet as the new king... he would close his eyes and see himself taking unto his hands the jewel-encrusted crown of his father and setting it onto his head, where it fit flawlessly as if molded just for him. Then came the day where these dreams turned into impossible fantasy: the day when his father named his older brother, Malickus, the heir of the throne, praising Malickus as the owner of the purer soul and condemning his own son Falcar as an overly-ambitious one who lost his path in life. Falcar became physically sick with hate for his father, hate for Malickus, for his entire wretched family who did not see talent where there was plenty of it. And so he did not think twice before thieving one of his father’s Gates (an orb able to open portals to other dimensions) one morning and leaving the bastion, the family, and the world of Heilig... landing himself in the much-darker neighboring dominion known as Aurania.

At least his father was able to indirectly serve him on one thing: Falcar had become an incredible and fearless combatant over time, thanks to harsh years of mandatory training. He quickly found a way to bring his abilities to the Auranian King’s palace, where he offered his skills in exchange for a place in the royal fortress. Impressed, King Uriel welcomed Falcar into his ranks, naming him General of his army. Luck was on Falcar’s side, for many chances to prove himself soon followed. Uprisings erupted repeatedly as outraged civilians attempted to annihilate the tyranny of King Uriel, only to be crushed time after time under the powerful defense of General Falcar Lotus. The king recognized a loyal hero when he saw one, and with time, adopted Falcar as his own son and future ruler of Aurania. The seeds of hate and of bitterness were giving way to much stronger emotions, however: among them desire, greed, and a dangerous impatience. Falcar was well aware that, like his own race, Auranians had almost-everlasting life, and that a drastic event must come to save him of insufferable waiting. His mind went to work, only to be interrupted by yet another mutiny. Falcar once again led the royal army into battle against the rebels, but decided to do things a little differently this time; he demanded that the leader of the rebellion be captured and brought to him alive. Believing Falcar to have a sadistic torture in mind, his warriors obeyed. Falcar found himself face-to-face with a furious Auranian rebel, but rather than take his life, he proposed a deal: feigning a horrible life under the iron fist of King Uriel, he asked that the rebel follow him to the Throne Room, where they could find Uriel and, together, slay the king. And so they did. King Uriel, though powerful, was unable to withstand the combined attack of Falcar and the dexterous rebel fighter, and with a final cry of rage and lament over the fictional knife wedged in his back, Uriel drew a last quivering breath and died. The joyous rebel congratulated Falcar and welcomed his new reign as a benevolent king to Aurania. Falcar’s response was a violent slash to the rebel’s throat, separating neck and head for a quick death. Immediately after, the battle was over, and Uriel's army rushed into the Throne Room in shock. Falcar explained the events that had preceded: the rebel leader had managed to incapacitate Falcar and escape into the room, where he took Uriel's life and rejoiced in his feat until Falcar caught him once again and avenged his loving, adoptive father. The royal army hailed Falcar as a tragic hero.

All hail the new Ruler of Aurania, Emperor Falcar...
He descended Falcar’s demonic-looking crown over his head and sat on the bloodied throne. And so his childhood dream came to pass and, despite the much more sinister tone of his success, Falcar was satisfied... for now.

Aware of the upcoming Adonis Tournament, his first order of business as emperor was to gather the most able fighters of the entire world to serve him closely. Excellent work, for Aurania crushed the competition, including Heilig, and Falcar had the Adonis Stone in his power for the first time. He could think of no better way to use its powers other than to severely weaken the populace of Aurania as a whole, crippling their lifestyle so they could just barely live their lives and never again be able to structure an uprising against their new king. Alas, such misuse of the Adonis Stone took many, many years to complete and drained all of its holy power. Impatience not being his virtue, Falcar wrathfully awaited the next Adonis Tournament. He was deathly eager to hold the Stone in his hands once again, to feel its power bending to his will; then would be the time when Falcar would, at long last, be able to exact his revenge upon his father and brother. With the help of the Stone, he would instill unimaginable power within his army, rendering them indestructible, and commanding them and his generals in a direct attack on Heilig. Upon his victory, he would take what was rightfully his all along: the Heiligian crown. The time for the next tournament came ... but Aurania slowly began losing its chances of triumph. Falcar’s generals were losing their respective bouts, failing to defeat the Heiligian natives and the foreign visitors. Soon, only one of his generals remained: Lara Dalton, his beautiful spy and Falcar’s assured future empress. Falcar still had hopes; Lara had broken every bone of her foes in the last tournament and sealed Aurania’s victory, an impressive accomplishment that overjoyed Falcar and gave way to their current, close relationship. She was arguably the most deadly of his generals... she MUST win the Stone! Lara secured victories, and eventually made it to the final round of the Adonis Tournament, where she was pitted against an Earthling by the name of Marcus Ryder. Cocky and intimidating as ever, she walked into the arena of their battle, but her arrogant smile was soon wiped from her striking face when she found herself unable to overcome an inhuman ability Marcus possessed to concentrate his bodily energy into destructive psychic manipulations. Lara had been defeated, and Earth had taken the Stone for itself, along with Falcar’s sick lust for revenge.

Through turbulent times, Falcar awaited the third tournament, his obsession with Heilig growing stronger and stronger, deadlier and deadlier. When the time came, he was infuriated to learn that Marcus Ryder, the last champion, would be returning to represent Earth yet again in the host world of Heilig. The fights were underway... and Aurania’s chances, once again, looked grim. When nothing but a couple of his generals were left to fight, with the Earth-born champion still standing, Falcar was succumbing to a horrible feeling of alarming desperation. The tournament continued as it should... until the Watchers (holy spirits tasked with overseeing over the tournament) discovered that the champion Marcus Ryder had died, leaving no traces as to why. Calamity struck and rumors ran wild, as no competitor of the sacred Adonis Tournament had ever sullied the event with blood. Everything took a sharp turn to the worse when, amid the disorder, the King of Heilig was also killed. Disgusted with the happenings, the Watchers ended the tournament there and then.

Fast-forward to current times, when the revision of the last tournament is set to begin. Warriors will once more gather in the host world of Aurania to compete for the Adonis Stone. And as preparations commence... Falcar watches from within his palace with a frenzied glare and a warped mind.

~ LARA DALTON ~

An ironic contrast creates the essence that is Lara, her outer splendor acting as a deceitful casing for one of the darkest, most depraved souls in existence. So it is now and so it has always been, since her childhood years as the single daughter of a middle-class Auranian family. To her father, a brave warrior plotting a strong uprising against Uriel's rule, Lara would put on a mask of decency, playing the pure and hopeful daughter whose dream was to see the rebellion succeed. In secrecy, however, she would hear roaming words of King Uriel’s palace and lust for the riches within. The deception she forced unto her family drove her proud father to train her in self-defense and turn her into a prodigy of the art at the young age of 19, eventually deeming his girl capable and worthy of a vital position among the warrior rebels preparing the attack against the king. Lara was disgusted that her trickery caused such an unpleasant event that went completely against her actual wishes. The time had come to reveal who she really was...

One day, as the battle against Uriel's forces drew near, Lara told her father of how necessary it was that the royal palace be analyzed beforehand for weaknesses and strategic spots that would aid them in the attack. She volunteered for the mission with no hesitation. Her father appointed their second-best fighter (a young man by the name of Desmond) to accompany Lara, and so, the duo set off on a long trip toward the one place the world feared as one. While they journeyed and months passed, word quickly spread of the last rebellious attack on the palace, which had resulted in the last king’s death and the naming of a new king; namely, the late emperor’s adopted son and former general of the Auranian army. Falcar’s appointed governors from all four corners of the world were planning to gather at the palace very soon to meet with the new supreme ruler and heed his law. “Let’s turn back”, Lara’s accompanier said. “It’s too dangerous to show up at the palace at a time like this!” There was no way she was giving up on her clandestine goals now. “No! This new emperor is surely just as corrupt as Uriel! We stick to the plan until the end!” And so she decidedly marched onward, eventually arriving at the astonishing capital where the palace stood. A feeling that had never crossed her heart before now washed over her very being: the feeling of belonging. Falcar’s capital and the extravagant luxury that composed it was where she should have been born, where she should have lived all these 19 years, as opposed to a beaten-down city with a pitiable family that lived on delusions and would die by them as well. Desmond noticed something evil in Lara’s eyes whenever she admired a rich field, a lofty building, or one of the innumerable solid-gold and silver structures.

They reached palace grounds and, as Lara expected, were almost immediately attacked. Falcar’s ever-loyal sentinels withdrew their lances and prepared to rip the intruders apart, and would have done a marvelous job if Lara and Desmond were not the gifted fighters the latest rebellion was counting on. One by one the royal defenders fell, the duo ripping through them with the agility and proficiency of bullets through flesh. Their persistent skills led them to the tyrant himself, and soon, the two biggest hopes for Falcar’s fall stood face-to-face with Aurania’s new antagonist. Falcar scrutinized the impressive combatants before him; what he saw was burning hate in Desmond’s eyes... and a hypnotic invitation in Lara’s. “Lock up the boy” were the first and simple words he uttered. Desmond fought the new wave of guards, but without Lara by his side, he slowly fell to his knees, defeated. “Why?” Desmond asked with a quivering breath and a wrecked heart. Lara’s response was unshaken, clear, cold, and mildly entertained: “You and your kind will never give me what I want. The Spirits made an unforgivable mistake giving me life among lowly scum like you and my father. I will not stay by your side a minute longer only to die the same way I came into this planet: with nothing!” “You’re the one making the unforgivable mistake, Lara! Your father loves you... and so do I! We will make it! We’ll be happy! Just help me...” Falcar’s eyes and the guards’ lances turned instantly to Lara in anticipation. “Kill him.” And the guards abided by her orders. Lara felt a rush: that single moment where she commanded and the scum below her obeyed was the happiest moment of her life. At last, things were as they should be. And Falcar flashed upon Lara a smile of pure admiration, his black soul oddly thrilled to see a girl of a such stunning beauty and sinister ambition to match. That admiration was all Lara needed to ensure that fateful day was the beginning of her real life as the mistress of the Royal Palace of Aurania... the mistress of Aurania itself.

Her father’s rebellion never struck. No one knows the real reason why. Perhaps he knew there was no chance of success now that his best fighter had deserted him. But it is assumed that he shed heartbroken tears of loss until his last breath... tears induced by the thought that he had unknowingly raised the most wicked, poisonous female of the entire world, who would stand beside the planet’s biggest enemy and rule it with an iron fist while laughing cruelly above the highest tower of the Auranian Palace.

There's quite a few more females, but for now, you can pick between three: the "good guy" girl, the neutral girl, and the evilest girl in existence. Happy selecting, lol.

Hey Leo, since you're rewriting the series from the beginning, I was wondering: is the same stuff going to happen, like, are you gonna follow the same timeline of events from last time?

Either way, amazing stuff. I cannot wait to read the series again! ^_^

Also to some of the people above, do you guys have any idea of you'd like to be involved with the project. I'm sure Leo is wanting to go ahead with the writing, so the earlier the better.

Well fuck me...

You're definitely right, you have improved greatly since the last time. I guess all that previous writing has strengthened your creative muscles as the language, descriptions and all the details of the characters are perfected. Everything has a freshness to it that really makes it shine. It was great before, it's fantastic now! I look forward to reading this! I can't wait until it's all done. I'm going to print it all out and read it like a book.

Hey B_C, I'm restarting the series in more ways than one. I've reconsidered the story as a whole, and decided it's in everyone's best interest for me to add/subtract/update as many things as I can, to keep it fresh for everyone who was part of it last time, to keep myself from becoming bored by writing the same thing over, and to make the story much more intriguing than it's been in the past.

Keith, good to see you around again! Even better that you're into this project! Thanks for the reply and the compliments, I'm sure you're going to enjoy the eps. a lot.

Speaking of the episodes, I've wrapped up the first part of the pilot and published it online. I'll be back eventually to put up a little excerpt and a link to the full thing, just need to have a little more free time than I do this exact moment.

Thanks again, guys.

INT. HOUSE OF HEILIG - DAY

Within the mesmerizing splendor of the royal House of Heilig, KING ARAGORN addresses his two sons, MALICKUS and FALCAR, both in their teenage years. Aragorn sits upon his majestic white throne, studying in silence the brilliant gaze of his sons' bright gold eyes.

ARAGORN
I've called my sons here today in privacy... because I have made my decision. I know which one of you will take my place as king when I am gone.

FALCAR
Are you sure you don't need more time, father?

Beat.

ARAGORN
Listen...

The brilliant sunlight that seeps in through the gorgeous, lofty windows on the walls also brings with it the faint exclamations of a distant crowd.

ARAGORN (CONT'D)
The people of Heilig are its true rulers. I am nothing but their guide. They wish to know who will lead them after me. I will not oppose their request.

MALICKUS
We understand, father, and we'll honor your decision.

Falcar sweeps his brother with an almost involuntary, sullied glance.

ARAGORN
My sons, I stand today as the leader of the most advanced civilization in the known universe. The people of Heilig are blessed by the Highest of Deities with never-ending peace, unity, happiness. When my time is up in this life, they will need a new leader who will devote his life to resuming the fight for these blessings.

He gapes at his sons intensely.

ARAGORN (CONT'D)
One of you will do just that. The other will force my people to kneel to him through the mortal threats of a tyrant.

Falcar's expression becomes grim.

ARAGORN (CONT'D)
Malickus, my son. You will be king of Heilig.

Malickus is surprised, but nevertheless grateful. He bows to his father.

MALICKUS
Thank you, father. Thank you.

Falcar is at a loss for words, looking petrified.

ARAGORN
Falcar... perhaps it is my fault. I may have made grave mistakes in your upbringing. If so, then I am sorry to have failed you as a father. But the truth today is that you are a soul gone wrong. Your heart is dark, your ambition is frightening. You are not fit to be the king of a world. You are not even fit to be an upstanding citizen of Heilig. Not until you find a way to wash yourself of the filth inside of you. Repent, my son. Seek guidance from the Highest Deity and His underlings. Ask for rejuvenation and maybe one day you shall stand by your brother's side.

Falcar slowly surveys his father and brother as if they had transformed into a pile of waste. Aragorn's words echo in his head: "You are not fit to be the king of a world."

FALCAR
Stand by my brother's side?
(beat)
I was not born to be the sidekick.

He turns and walks away.

ARAGORN
Falcar, please.

Falcar stops. Faces his father one more time.

FALCAR
You're wrong, father. One day you will realize that. But then it'll be too late for you... for all of you.

He exits.

Aragorn oozes sadness and disappointment, but one look at Malickus and these feelings wash away.

ARAGORN
It's time.

EXT. HOUSE OF HEILIG - CONTINUOUS

Aragorn is addressing the multitude of Heiligians outside the House. He and Malickus stand upon the edge of the oversized, oval balcony, reveling in the cheering of the people below.

ARAGORN
And in the days of King Malickus, the suns will shine upon our world brighter than ever before, bringing a brand new era of peace and bliss greater than you have ever experienced!

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE OF HEILIG - CONTINUOUS

Falcar watches from a window of a higher level of the House, pushing the flowing pearl curtain to the side and creating an unswerving passage for his monstrous glare. The rooting of the people disgusts him.

INT. HOUSE OF HEILIG - FALCAR'S ROOM - NIGHT

Falcar awakes in the middle of the night, his gold eyes more vivid than ever amid the darkness.

INT. HOUSE OF HEILIG - SECRET ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Poorly lit. He walks to the far wall. Every inch is covered in unknown symbols. In the very center, sunken into the wall, is a golden, sectioned orb.

Falcar gapes at it in mild awe.

With his index finger, he traces a new symbol around the orb. A glowing crimson light follows his movement and, when this new symbol is fully-drawn, there is a loud CLICK. Falcar takes the orb.

EXT. HOUSE OF HEILIG - CONTINUOUS

He is outside, on the vast and seemingly unending grasslands surrounding the House. The orb is in his right hand.

He outstretches his right arm. The orb rests on the palm of his hands, quivering slightly. Incoherent, ghostly whispers escape Falcar's lips. The orb's quivering intensifies. It glows.

A gold flash before Falcar. A rip on space and time has emerged; a Gate into another existence.

He smiles triumphantly. Turns to face the House one last time.

FALCAR
I wish it didn't have to be this way...

From his white vest he withdraws a small, rectangular device.

FALCAR (CONT'D)
So much effort on my part... so unnecessary...

Activates the device.

A number of the House's formidable towers and entire levels are BLOWN INTO OBLIVION. Fragments shower the night.

Screams from within.

Falcar enters the Gate.
