Is anyone interested in paranormal stuff?
I have had my first paranormal experience this past year. I say that because I have no explanation for it.
I'll start here. My mom's parents and my mom's dad's sister all died in the same year 2012-2013. My mom's dad was always a very eccentric guy he always told us stories about ghostly encounters he had throughout his life, sometimes he would claim to be somewhat clairvoyant. I loved these stories as a kid I wish I had him write these down just to have for sentiment. He also loved Christmas, so did his wife and our whole family. But Christmas was extra special to my grandfather. He died in November of 2013. My grandfather's wife and his sister were his two best friends. They both died about a year before my grandfather. His sister was born in 1923, my grandfather was born in 1925, my grandmother was born in 1929. Shortly after my grandfather died, he died in our house. My mother and I started finding pennies in random places around the house. Some would be under Christmas trees or on the mantle under decorative garland or tucked in the back of a decorative nativity scene. Sometimes it would be just one penny, sometimes it would be two or three pennies together. Here's the catch though, after we started looking at the pennies we noticed that they were all 1923, 1925, and 1929 pennies. We found a total of about 15 pennies I think. We stopped finding pennies when Christmas was over. Until November of this year after my mom had all the Christmas decorations up. We started finding pennies again. We have each only found three pennies spanning November and December and they have all only been 1925.
I have no explanation for this. My family is still pondering. We can't come up with any logical explanation. Does anyone have any similar experiences or know of any stories or theories?
I don't believe in any of that.
My boyfriend works at an old theater that they're trying to fix up and such and they had a paranormal crew come in and record and tape all these random ghost sightings they think they saw.
They came to his boss' house to play back everything that they showed. What everyone is freaking out about I never saw or heard. Literally, I was the only one who never heard the word a ghost said or saw what they were seeing that moved.
I don't believe in ghosts, and I do find taking a job in the paranormal stuff is quite dumb. But hey, other ghost hunters apparently are thieves because I have a friend on Facebook who is in the industry who constantly writes statuses about how other ghost hunting companies are stealing his work.
Weird.

I may, perhaps, surprise some users on here, in that I am a staunch believer in the paranormal. I do believe in ghosts, demons, angels, and the like. I actually hosted a Coast-to-Coast rip-off on my college radio station when I was getting my B.A. We covered anything from ghosts, to cryptids, to time-slips.
As a believer in such things, however, I always caution at jumping at shadows. Ghost Hunters is a prime example of this; not every bump is a ghost, not all cryptids are real, and a lot of people want attention. While this may make me sound like a skeptic, I'm not, just approaching the subject a bit like a rare coin collector; you'll run into a lot of fakes. That being said, I am a true believer that the world is far more than we can see.
If you're interested, the University of Edinburgh has a Doctoral unit in Parapsychology and through it offers an online, non-credit, Introduction to Parapsychology course. The course is open to everyone, wherever they may be, for £250. Now, it's not, like, Peter Venkman's school of Ghostbusting, if that's what you're hoping for, but rather the approaches taken by psychologists that venture into parapsychology.

Absolutely. My father in law just passed away on October 25th. Too many things have happened for me to list. Sights, smells, dreams, knocks, my wife went to a psychic and she instantly knew that he passed away from a blood clot because he was in the room with them and he told her. Shit is all too real, and this is coming from a skeptic as of two months ago my friends.
About Me
I will rock you.

I like the TV Show Supernatural that is paranormal enough for me.

I've had some experiences with paranormal stuff that I think science couldn't answer so yes.
I have learned that my great-grandmother from my paternal grandfather's side (my grandfather's mother) she was spiritual but also knew when things weren't right and had visions. Towards the end of World War II, it was said she had bad dreams about her husband who went out for a fishing trip in Canada. The dreams ended when she heard about him dying in a car accident there.
I think I inherited it when I started to see things. The first time I saw Obama (before he was President), I knew he was going to be President. When at a small Catholic college during the new class gathering, I knew I wouldn't last long and I left after the beginning of the second semester.
My aunt and her daughter inherited my great grandmother's ability too because my aunt knew her mother-in-law was in danger on Christmas Day. A few minutes later, there was a phone call in which she learned she had passed. My aunt didn't talk about any times her daughter (my cousin) had visions.
It's a weird thing sometimes to have it, I have seen psychics before. Some were just bad, but some were pretty accurate despite only meeting them for one minute and told me events that I forgot about in life or repressed it.
I'm also one that believes in UFO's too as I believe I was abducted as a child. I remember one dream about floating around my room when I was 6-7 years ago and then being thrown back. It was really weird and no one in the family believed me. There are some things I survived which I don't know how.
I thought maybe I had alien DNA when I was a teenager due to being an outcast until I realized years later it was just used to comfort me in darker times. Also, when I see people sometimes whether it's on TV or the news, I can't help but feel I've known them before.
Yeah, I'm kind of weird.

I'm very interested in Paranormal stuff. Might be because of where I grew up, but ghosts were just kind of seen as a facet of every town where I'm from. I've seen things I genuinely can't explain, and consider myself an exceptionally skeptical and educated individual. I've been a part of some VERY scary ghost hunts.
No aliens or bigfoot though. That's some straight b*llsh*t there.

Absolutely. I've had an experience when I was younger and I never forgot it. I've always wanted to go to a ghost hunt just for the thrill. I love scaring myself. I definitely believe in ghosts though for sure.

I believe in the paranormal. I've had a few "experiences" in my home. The most common would be heavy foot steps walking up my stairs at night. I'll look over at my bedroom door (where my stairs end up) and there's nothing there.
Another, kinda funny, story happened with my wife and I. We were both laying in bed watching TV, when all of a sudden, I caught a whiff of a horrible smell. I kinda ignore it at first, when my wife says, "oh my god, did you fart?". Me, thinking it was her, started throwing out my own accusations. When we finally came to the conclusion that it was neither of us, we both took a deep breath, and I said "it smells like...sulfer"(which is supposedly the kind of smell an apparition or otherwise leaves), and no sooner than I say that, the smell just dissapated. Just that fast. No trace of it after, nothing. Haven't smelled anything like it since.
