I don't dare to call any song my all time favorite song, but whenever someone asks me that question, this very song is the one that first comes to my mind. This diamond of Croatian music is from 1975 and as it gets older it just gets better. This song is not about the usual 'I love you, please love me back' stuff... No, this song, title of which translates to 'Seagull and I', is a celebration of life and those wonderful little magical moments we get to experience every now and then. The author here sings about the moment when he's alone by the sea and watches a seagull fly in the distance, high above the open sea, admiring him. Every verse of this song can be turned into a picture.

A seagull is more than just some bird here, it's a symbol that reminds of southern, coastal Croatia and since I'm from coastal part of Croatia, well, that just makes this song even more special (I don't get to see seagulls that often anymore now that I live in continental part, so this song brings out home-nostalgia in me as well).
