Yeah bro I definitely agree with you.
It's not supposed to be a Poker face or telephone type of song. It's a deep melody with a powerful message.
and man don't even worry about all the HATERZ. There's always gonna be plenty, just ignore them. Gaga has become an icon, and they can't and probably will not accept it. Gaga is here and isn't going anywhere anytime soon =)

According to the lameness of her new song, she could be loosing steam already.
A powerful message doesn't does make a song a good song. If she wants to pass on a message without a catchy melody or good rhythm, then she should stick to poetry, not music.
Christina has many meaningful songs and a great voice, but no one is gonna care if the songs are not fun to sing or dance to. That's why she doesn't top charts anymore.
Imo, Gaga is becoming the new Cher. I don't think her career is over but if this is the best song on her album, then this year is definitely not gonna be one of her best.

.......looks like people are liking it.

Rolling Stones- "Despite the obvious tip of the cap to Madonna's 'Express Yourself' (which was just Madge's knock-off of the Staple Singers' "Respect Yourself")..."

Anyway, the song isn't my favorite (I don't think anything will ever top Poker Face or LoveGame), but it's good to know that she's using her fame and success to promote equal rights (especially for the LGBT community).
Plus there was a dance at my university yesterday and the song came on, everyone went bat shit crazy.

First off, not all songs are meant to sung or danced to.
In fact, quite a few of Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey's - both of which are two of the biggest selling solo artists of all time - hit songs are not meant to be sung or danced to. For example, Jackson's "You Are Not Alone," and Carey's "Hero."
A song doesn't have to be singable to fun to dance to, it just has to have high replay value, like Whitney Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You," another song that is not meant to be sung or danced to.

According to Billboard, her new song may become the 1000th number one hit single on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
It seems your argument is based more on your own personal views rather than concrete evidence, and the concrete evidence shows "Born This Way" is a hit.

Just read everything above that was said, and walk away...

You should read posts before replying on a thread. There is a thing called context.
Nobody was claiming the song was good because of the sales and popularity. Those stats were posted here because people were claiming Gaga's success was about to dissipate. Popularity and money might not make a good song, but it does make success and that was the whole point.
Hatas gonna be illogical 4 teh sake of hatin.

It was in direct response to MyQueenSindel. I don't hate Lady Gaga, but her new single is pretty bad.
But of course it will sell. It's Lady Gaga.

#1 on iTunes? What a triumph for her... Look at the other top songs on the list. Yeah... some competition she has going on there. She really kicked some serious ass.
You Gaga fans can be a little too defensive. Just be honest and admit that her new song is sub par.
And I am not hating on her. I've never hated her. I just think she's overrated.

Yeah that.
I wasn't saying, "Oh it's number 1, therefore it's a good song" I was responding to when QS(TB) said she could be losing stream.

It's holding the record for fasting selling single (3 hrs to #1) and by now, it sold 500K in it's first THREE days. It doesn't matter what song was up there, it would still be on top, I mean, have you seen the length of the popularity bar? Jesus... that bitch has got to be five times longer than the #2 spot.

Well everyone is entitle to their opinion, and I even mentioned above that I'm not as crazy about the song as her other singles. But it's definitely a grower and it has grown on me. It's still in the category of "love" in terms of how much I like the song.
And please please please don't talk about how Gaga fans can be too defensive (By the way, the proper term is "stan" in this case), have you seen Exhale? AKA The Britney stan-base forum? There are literally dozens of threads about Lady Gaga and Born This Way about how the song is shit, and it's a flop, and HIAM is ten billion times better, and Lady "Flopga" needs to die. If you don;t believe me, check it out.
Even if you don't care and you just want me to stfu, I implore you, look at this forum just for a good laugh at how pathetic these people are:

Regarding the forum, I'll just take your word for it. I read enough of that Britney vs. Gaga nonsense on youtube.
And about her song, I can empathize with you. I thought HIAM was crap at first but after hearing it a dozen times, I think it's good now.

I didn't like either song until it they played at some club I went to. So much energy. Especially the bridge of HIAM.

Wow, there are stan wars on every single forum out there. Lmao.
I love the new song, it's catchy as hell. My only issue with it was that it was way overhyped. Tweeting the lyrics and dishing out tidbits for half a year - great promotion but annoying and it lead to too much expectation that she would never have been able to deliver on. I hope the second single gets a quieter release although Red One has already squashed any hope of that. Still, I really like Born This Way. Alot more than I would've thought cause I tend to despise 'anthems'.

Stan wars are really really fun to watch though.
