Ok anyone see the game last night with Cowboys and Kansas? If I'm correct Henson is still second string over Romo.

My question is, What is he doing over Romo? I've only seen 3 pre-season games, so if I've somehow missed Henson's talent somewhere then someone please tell me, but I think Romo should be bumped up.

If the Bengals win the division, I will accept that. We have a little saying here:

"At least it wasn't Cleveland/Baltimore"

We don't hate you guys near as much as those rat bastards. Plus Marvin is a good ass coach, and he got the shaft big time at his last job, so I pull for him.

kidkrazy Wrote:
I will agree with you on that one. The Ravens do have a horrible QB, crap receivers, and 1 good running back. There D is the only thing they have ever had IMO. The Steelers should be improved from that horrible season last year....(i have respect for the Steelers cause my uncle that died was a diehard Steelers fan). I still think the Bengals can finish in 2nd place like they did last year. Should be a very exciting year of football.

Eli won't be starting because the Giants have an oline that is about as effective as just playing with the center. Kurt Warner is officialy our new crash test dummy, which is too bad. With decent protection, he could make us forget all about Eli, at least for most of this season.

Wow I see KidKrazy is not partial like most of you...Im not predicting my standings again since I did in another thread awhile back (and I had the Dolphins in the SB which definitely aint happening with the crap theyve been going through)

Lets be real...

NFC EAST

Eagles - TO is not going to be the fit as everyone says, because their Receiving unit as a whole is thin...Kearse wont get enough sacks to keep their secondary exposed...their corners are in fact a big reason why this team is not going to go very far if they make the playoffs

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE

Redskins - Portis wont fit Gibbs' scheme as much as most think, but he will get his 1400+ yards...QB is a concern with that offensive line...Smoot is under pressure since Bailey is gone and Springs is injury prone...

PREDICTION - A TIE IN 2ND

Cowboys - Maybe better then they were last year, but that dont mean nothing...George will be tough, and Keshawn Johnson is very overrated...their offense will suffer

PREDICTION - A TIE IN 2ND

Giants - Once Eli unseats Warner the season is over for them...Toomer had a disappointing season and is injury prone, and one receiver doesn't help a young QB (i also hate Eli personally for his ignorance towards one of my fav team, Chargers)

PREDICTION - 4TH PLACE

NFC NORTH

Packers - Brett Favre made a bold statement saying anything less then the SB is failure...Not only do they have to contend with the Vikings, they also play against the Lions twice, which are no longer pushovers...Ahman Green cannot carry this team as far as Favre wants, even though I think he could be the 2nd best RB in the league (behind LaDainian)...Al Harris has a lot of pressure because I dont think McKenzie is playing for them this year, trade or not

PREDICTION - 2ND PLACE, WILDCARD BERTH

Vikings - Scariest duo with Culpepper (3rd best QB) and Moss (best WR)...Michael Bennet needs to come back strong after his injury and be the underrated great back that he is...defense is stronger, Hovan seems to be back the way he was a couple years ago

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE

Bears - Urlacher is overrated, the defense is a little stronger with Agunleye, but their offense is horrible, as much as I like the former Gator, Grossman, he just doesn't have it in the NFL

PREDICTION - 4TH PLACE

Lions - Team on the rise, about a year off from playoffs...RB Jones will be great one day...this team needs chemistry, and it rests on Harrington's shoulders...theyre about a 7-9 team

PREDICTION - 3RD PLACE

NFC SOUTH

Buccaneers - Too old, too simple...Brad Johnson's time is running out with Simms doing as good as he is...Galloway has been reduced to 'average' because of the Cowboys QB problems in the past couple years...Tim Brown is old, and he wont be much more then a mentor...Their rookie WR could be the best WR in Year 1 (along with Lee Evans), but their offense isn't scary, and their defense is not as good as it once was...

PREDICTION - TIE IN 3RD PLACE (if they are lucky)

Saints - Aaron Brooks needs to continue to get better while their receivers are above average...Donte Stallworth should be the #1, not Joe Horn...Donte has potential while Horn reached his...No secondary means no playoffs...again

PREDICTION - TIE IN 3RD PLACE

Panthers - Their secondary has gotten better, believe it or not...Their defense is still dangerous and Peppers still needs to live up to his hype...Delhomme is still underrated, but affective, and with two receivers, this team won't be too bad...Foster and Davis will pick up the slack...they have the hardest schedule in the NFL

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE, FIRST ROUND BYE

Falcons - Vick hasn't established himself as a great QB yet...he is entertaining but by no means one of the best...Warrick Dunn has pressure and needs to play hard, because if he doesn't, he'll be losing his starting job...drafting a good CB won't make the secondary great, but it helps...

PREDICTION - 2ND PLACE

NFC WEST

Rams - overrated team, their offensive line took some hits, and the hope of the backups stepping up is looking dimmer and dimmer, Bulger shouldn't of made the Pro Bowl, and shouldn't of been the MVP of the pro bowl (S. Alexander)...if he keeps throwing interceptions, he is killing the team...Faulk will not be the MVP he once was, but Jackson is a great backup...the secondary took a huge hit with Fisher out for the season, but the Rams overall defense still looks fast, and offense is still explosive

PREDICTION - 2ND PLACE, WILD CARD (simply because of their experience of winning regardless of problem)

Cardinals - I honestly picked this as my surprise team, and also put them ahead of the Rams the last time I went through these...but with injuries to their Receivers and problems as RB...no...defensively, the team is not as bad as people think...McCown, still has potential, but nahhhhh

PREDICTION - 3RD PLACE

49ers - along with the Seahawks, this was the team I grew up liking...sadly, they are the exact opposite of their SB days...I think this team is the worst in the NFL, and if noone can figure out their problems, Lord help you...Rashaun Woods will be good, so there is a bright light somewhere in San Fran...eh...

PREDICTION - 4TH PLACE

Seahawks - this team was sadly robbed twice last year, costing them not only a division title, but also a first round bye in the playoffs (a home game)...but I wont get into the Ravens clock scheme or the Rams' ref tripping in front of the game winning, division clinching TD...this team has 0 problems, to be honest...theyre well built through luck (drafting people in low rounds who become stars)...its hard to say a team that drafted and traded Ahman Green can still be a good team...MLB is a concern, but the 3 battling for the starting spot are looking good anyways...and Chad Brown's injury is not as bad as you would think...Tracy White will replace him, and this LB ran a 4.30!!!...this team's defense is quick, and dangerous...I personally have always been high on Ken Lucas, and this is the year I think he will make the pro bowl...they have an extremely tough schedule though...

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE, HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE

NFC PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

Vikings over Rams
Packers over Eagles (upset)

Vikings over Panthers (upset)
Seahawks over Packers

Seahawks over Vikings (scary match)

*note all predictions bar injury as of September 3rd

Time for the AFC...

AFC EAST

Patriots - Defense will suffer with the new rules enforced heavily...Brady is overrated, is McCown won the Super Bowl, he would be a bandwagon player, too...Offense is always a concern...Dillon will be mad when he finds out he wont be getting the ball as much as he did with the Bengals in his hay-day...this team is built all around, but theyre players simply aren't as good as some all around teams (Seahawks, Vikings, Jets)...but their chemistry will keep them in the playoffs

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE

Bills - Bledsoe needs to stop holding the ball for so long, no wonder why he gets sacked all the time...offensive line is weak, and they dont't have a great team...simple

PREDICTION - 4TH PLACE

Dolphins - ahh my super bowl pick...not anymore...Ricky Williams killed them...the Agunleye is risky, and their QB's better get ready, because they both will see action this seasons, their CBs will suffer from the new rules, but theyre still great, the defense will carry this team as far as it can go, which is...

PREDICTION - 3RD PLACE

Jets - Im so high on Vilma, I was hoping so much that he would drop to Seattle, but oh well...he will be great...and I think he will be great this year, regardless of what others analysts say...Pennington needs to avoid injury, and Curtis Martin needs to play his hardest and this team could be playoff bound...

PREDICTION - 2ND PLACE, WILD CARD BERTH

AFC NORTH

Ravens - my, how I hate this team...simply because I live in MD and I have to hear about how theyre 'better then my team, the Seahawks after that bullshit game'...fear not I say, for they will make the playoffs only to get their hearts broken...Boller has been out of football too much to ever be a good QB...and they have no receivers that pose any threat...defense will carry them...

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE

Steelers - Offensive line took a huge blow, which means Maddox takes a huge blow, which means Roethlisberger plays, which means the offense takes a huge blow---this year...the defense isn't much better...I wish someone could unseat the Ravens in this crappy division...but not them...

PREDICTION - 4TH PLACE

Browns - they are putting pieces in place, showing what rebuilding actually means...Lee Suggs is pretty good, as is Willie Green...and they finally have a receiver threat in Winslow...not a good team, but at least theyre trying unlike some (Steelers)

PREDICTION - 3RD PLACE

Bengals - a good team, but I don't see more then an 8-8 season...they just don't have a good enough defense...Rudi Johnson looks good in the preseason, but can he maintain it? This team is skydiving through the NFL without a parachute...they are just hoping they survive

PREDICTION - 2ND PLACE

AFC SOUTH

Colts - first, Manning is the 2nd best overall QB...McNair is a better player...Harrison is overrated...and E. James has a contract year...they are in a horrible situation after this year...James should do better because of this year, but the team has a weak secondary and overall, they need everyone to have a decent - good season for this team to get very far

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE, FIRST ROUND BYE

Jaguars - they lost confidence in two of their defensive linesmen, probably showing this team, that they aint kidding...that might strike some confidence in this team...but they are a year off...if they get 7+ wins this year...they may come back hungry next year...

PREDICTION - 3RD PLACE

Texans - until they fix the offensive line, this team has no chance, really...Carr wont be a star with their offensive blocking...they have a good running back, and a good receiver...defense isn't too bad...

PREDICTION - 4TH PLACE (barely)

Titans - any team with McNair should be playoff bound...I personally think A. Smith is going to have a good year with the Titans...their defense sounds worst without Kearse, but the unpopular players on defense are actually pretty good...relax

PREDICTION - 2ND PLACE, WILD CARD BERTH

AFC WEST

Raiders - I dont see how they are a 'surprise' team...Ted Washington was a better pickup then Sapp...he plugs more holes, and Sapp isn't how he used to be...if Collins doesnt start, this team is going down fast...

PREDICTION - 3RD PLACE

Chargers - who doesn't love L.T.?...overall, the best RB...but with a new QB, and a tough division, they better wait a year...or two...or three...their defense has a few holes, and the passing game sucks, and their is a weak offensive line...

PREDICTION - 4TH PLACE

Chiefs - a great team, but needs some receivers, bad...just looking at them makes you respect Trent Green...Holmes is not going to have another year like he had, and Gonzalez is starting to get cocky...the defense has an all around feel, and the should be a factor as the season grows...

PREDICTION - DIVISION TITLE, HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE

Broncos - this team made me sad...I picked them to be in the AFC championship...and now I have them missing the playoffs, barely...I still think the Portis for Bailey trade was good for them, but with Mike Anderson out...ouch...Lelie isn;t coming around to his potential, which hurts this team...in particularly, Plummer and Griffin...Plummer will suffer, his confidence should drop, and Griffin...poor man has a load on him...the defense is starting to drop as a whole...they got the same players they had 5 years ago...

PREDICTION - 2ND PLACE

AFC PLAYOFFS PREDICTIONS

Patriots over Ravens
Jets over Titans (upset)

Patriots over Colts (upset)
Chiefs over Jets

Chiefs over Patriots

SUPERBOWL

Seahawks vs. Chiefs

Slica - if I pick my favorite team, people will think im partial...even though they are legitamely a great team...so think what you want

THE BILLS were hampered by extreamly bad coaching last year.. no other team passed on 3 and 1 more then the bills.. trust me it was alot.. bills had the #2 defense in the nfl.. they added speed wide out lee evans, moulds is healthy, jim mcnally is coaching the o-line now, he made the giants oline look good in 2000,he'll do the same w/ a much better line.. josh reed has been catching every thing thrown his way, unlike last year were he was dropping everything,he will also be playing the slot more like his rookie year where he played great!! drew has been getting rid of the ball faster then in the past.. willis travis henry 2x 1,300 yard rusher, who desirved many many more rushes last year ,but those damn coaches kept passing it..

the addidtion of troy vincent will add the take aways the d was missing last year.. TKO.london fletcher, sam adams, pat williams, layer milloy. all pro bowlers.. nate clements and aaron schobel all play at pro bowl levels..

wtf r u talking about when u say no talent??? joke!! try again w/ ur predictions..w/ a little more fact then what took place last year.. the dolphins had alot more problem before ricky and boston left.. thats y i said u were wrong about them before also...

One of the reasons I'm worried about my Steelers is cause YOUR Bills took our offensive co-ordinator. Actually, probably the best at that position in the NFL.

calm the fuck down, shyt

you get mad for stupid reasons...the guy right above my post doesnt seem to have a problem cause I said his team was that good...

Travis Henry is their only offensive weapon...Moulds and Reed are good, in fact Josh Reed is having a great preseason/training camp...but when your QB is behind a line that is unproven, Moulds and Reed struggle...Moulds is good, but not great...he used to be great, but hes declined, before his injuries...L. Evans IMO could be the best WR out of this year's draft...Reed is good too, but neither will get much exposure is A) Bledsoe holds onto the ball too long (risks injury and sacks) and B) if the offensive line doesnt hold well...their offense finished 30th last year...and they look almost the same in the preseason, new o-line coach or not...

they have great linebackers in Gildon, Spikes, and Fletcher, but their secondary is weak...they lost Winfield, and upgraded over him with Vincent...that doesn't make their secondary great, but it helps...

they have a tough division too...4 games against the Jets and Patriots is not a fun stretch

it was hard putting the Bills behind the Dolphins, but defense seems more key then offense these days, and the Dolphins have an all around good defense...so add two games between the Dolphins and Bills...30th ranked offense vs. a very good defense...the o-line makes and breaks this team, the schedule finishes them off

I still think they are a 6-10 team

Im not really using the preseason for anything...but you are using two years ago and the such...

I highly disagree about Moulds being in the top 5
I can name 5+ better then him off the top of my head
-Moss, Owens, Harrison, C. Johnson, S. Moss, K. Robinson, D. Jackson, Coles, Holt, Boldin, Chambers, Ashley Lelie (ok...maybe not him)

and actually you have based your opinion on the preseason (Jason Gildon)...I dont think he will be cut...

and your offense does have some speed now with Lee Evans...to me, if you look at teams that made the playoffs...they all had a solid offensive line, the Bills dont...I never said if that was the coaches fault or the players, but that being said im basing my opinion on last year, players that may influence them to do better, and how they played in training camp...and depending on the situation, the preseason too...Bledsoe didnt suck last year, but he struggled...not his fault...the o-line's fault...the Texans have a chance to be a good team, but their o-line is horrible...thats why you wont see them in the playoffs again...

ha yeah...I'll be watchin that Bills/Seahawks game...the key there will be Bobby Engram...hes a 3rd down machine...if the Bills got a younger, QB...their offense might start looking Seattle-like...you guys got 3 good receivers (they needs to break out a little more--exception to Moulds)...and 2 good running backs...

problems at tight end though...

I really hope the Seahawks do go all the way though, simply because people dont realize how good they actually are...everyone looks at the drops that D-Jack and K-Rob made...Koren has the potential of being Terell Owens Jr. (thats quoted from espn)...and D-Jack is very consistent...and they did great last year

no team had 3 receivers with 600+ receiving yards each...except Seattle

Slica - now they got Jeramy Stevens back to his potential...thats 5 receiving threats, and 4 runnings backs who are good (Morris could start for most teams...K. Carter has potential, and Mack is the man;))

Believe me when I saw that the Bengals are gonna surprise a few teams this year. There not a SB team and they may just miss the playoffs again this year but there DEFENSE is their weakness. They have an outstanding secondary w/Herring, James, Ratliff and O'Neal. They got Simmons and Hardy on the OLB and Webster the ILB. Here the problem. Simmons is still there best player on D, Kevin Hardy is slowly losin it and Webster has never really played a whole lot when in Tampa.

On the defensive line they got Justin Smith and Dwanyne Clemons which should improve there. There offense is good, IMO. You got C.Johnson, Warrick(which is finally coming around), R.Johnson, C.Perry(future RB in Cincy) and Carson Palmer had a very good preseason. All in all there very much improved w/Marvin Lewis in charge but I don't see them getting too far.....YET!!! 1 maybe 2 years and this team will no longer be the laughing stock of the NFL.
