I watch Two Best Friends Play and Maximilian Dood/YoVideogames.

No idea why they're not more popular and PewDiePie is. He always struck me as a casual gamer, I like people who are more knowledgeable and play a wider range of genres.

Kids and teenagers watch him for laughs.

As much as don't care for Pewdie I gotta give him SOME credit and that's with his crap load of donations to charities and the such. He doesn't seem TOO casual though because I think he did a full playthrough of either Dark Souls 1 and/or 2 and that game is no walk in the park. I don't know. I don't pay too much attention to him. He found a way to get popular and he used it to his advantage. That's all there is to it. His fanbase is diarrhea though.

I like to watch Two Best Friends play and I lowkey enjoy a little of Game Grumps from time to time. They're more of a hit and miss though. Old GG was pretty rad when it was all laid back with two friends just playing vidya while new GG kinda just sounds like it has no heart anymore with them being bought by Polaris and all. I do like Danny Sexbang though.

I can't watch Jontron-less GG. I've heard enough different stories that suggest Egoraptor is a legit douchebag IRL, that I feel like supporting him in any way would be kinda wrong. Even if he weren't, I agree that it feels like there's no emotion in it anymore. I'm fairly certain he never cared for the idea of playing games on Youtube and secretly disdains the audience, he's just doing it for the easy money.

Yeah, Ego is a bit of a douche on the show. I have met him irl though but that was before GG even happened and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. He's just so different when it comes to GG and it comes to the point when you watch it and he comes unbearable. There are some good episodes though of GG post Jontron. I enjoyed their Super Mario Sunshine playthrough. I liked Silent Hill Shattered Memories one (and thought it was hilarious that Danny thought that was the scariest game ever) and a little of their one offs like the PT (and then Danny was proven wrong).

But yeah, I'll catch myself watching it time to time to see if there's SOMETHING that happens that's actually good. It's more of a guilty pleasure at this point for myself. I still wish they'd finish Sonic 06.

I hate Pew, but at least his money is going to donations. But I hate his videos. I think I chuckled at one of his videos because of the way he pronounced "cloud," but other than that, I just look totally unamused when one of my friends want to show me a video and it's of him.

I watch Dansgaming, Angry Video Game Nerd, Bonersgames and World of Longplays.


Honestly, I do not know how the hell I found Dansgaming. I think I just clicked on one of his videos that showed him jumping out of his chair in fright and I wanted to see more of that. He also does a play through of Phantasmagoria and Harvester and I was just laughing my butt off during some of the stuff he throws out there.

The Nerd, I've always liked him. Sure his toilet humor can get annoying every now and then but he does throw out some facts that I didn't know about and I like some of his Mike and James stuff.


Bonersgames and World of Longplays don't have anyone talking but I do like watching them.



I'm also trying to start one but of course it's going to be extremely slow to get to where these guys are. I'm not expecting to hit their level of fame, but it doesn't mean I can't try. (Although I am on hiatus until Call of Duty comes out, because I am getting a little bit bored of doing Destiny's Crucible matches.)

I stumbled upon this Game Theory video awhile back. Does a decent job of explaining how/why this douche is so popular on YouTube.

Forgot to mention another great lper. "penguinz0" aka Cr1tikal. He doesn't scare cam. He doesn't yell obnoxiously at dumb shit. He's the fucking man. Look him up.

There is another thing: I hooked up with retsupurae, and they had an insightful observation about him.


To many, PDP represents the ability of not growing up. He makes money by playing games, retains his humour that is without backthoughtand is grade school level, plus there really is no real consequence to his actions.


Also what I find irksome about LPs nowadays, that it's basically the PewDiePieor markiplier show. The game is just background noise.

Also Ao Oni is fucking terrible. And not scary. neither was Amnesia.
