Gulity Gear has been added to the list as well as Power Stone and Tatsunoko v.s. Capcom 
I will also be updating the OP with pictures and possibly music for each game to make it look nicer, sometimes tomorrow, stay tuned.

Mortal Kombat- the reason why I started playing fighters and one of the only fighters where I always like the majority of the cast.
Dead or Alive: I don't know, there's just something so cool about this sseries, the tag attacks, silly humor, and I enjoy every single character in one way or another, love the designs, levels, and gameplay.
Tekken- it was a close call between that and Soul Calibur, but I like more characters on the roster in Tekken than in Soul Calibur, though they are both superb games in their own right.

you could also add world heros,samurai showdown,fatal fury. there are a bunch more great fighting games series that have probably not even mentioned.
i play alot of fighters. something about having a bad day at work or home and then being able to kick some ass without getting aressted feels refreshing.

The list with all additions will be updated momentarily and keep in mind guys, after you vote, you can stick around and chat about the various fighters, story, gameplay etc of your games or other games, share info and maybe people can even find new fighters to try from this experience
It's top three fighters, it's much easier to track and I'm trying to ascetain top 3 as well. It's a rather lengthy process just with the top 3, I like the majoirty of the fighters on the list; however, listing all of them would make it just be messy, extra work.
I have no idea why, but I loved Power Stone as a kid, I want them to remake it, love that you could have four people fighting each other at once, super fun.
I put it on the list last night btw
lmao that's so true. I loved coming home during the Summer after work, popping open a wine cooler, listening to some music and raising hell with a great fighter, the simple joys of life

Man, I love damn near all fighters!! However, I will have to say that my ALL-TIME FAVORITE FIGHTER has to be Guilty Gear. That game is one of the most balanced 2D fighters out there.
Other fighters for me would be Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur, BlazBlue, MvC2, Killer Instinct, Primal Rage, DBZ, Naruto, and Power Stone
