MadTv Vs Saturday Night Live

Which show do you think is better MadTV or SNL?I like MadTV alot more than SNL there cast is alot better than SNL's current cast.The reason why I like MadTV it's because it's original alot of their jokes you dont see the same celeberities getting made fun of.There are alot of MadTV sketches I like here's the list:

Randy Newman(Christmas songs)
Randy Newman(Randy meets Rob Zombie)
Kenny Rodgers(Kenny Rodgers Jackass)
Kenny Rodgers(Fear Factor)
Stuart(Pet Store)
Stuart(The Well)
Snapshots(Debra Wilson)
Snapshots(Nicole Sullivan)
Snapshots(Aries Spears.)

There are alot more than that I dont want to post everything.

SNL:I started watching SNL back in 1998 it was funny.The cast they had was perfect they all seemed like they worked together good.I think it started to go down after they got rid of Tracy Morgan and Will Ferrel and most of the '98 cast.After watching MadTV on Saturday nights it's hard to watch SNL because I never laugh at it anymore.

I love the late 80s- early 90s SNL, with mike myers, chris farley, and adam sandler. Mad tv has always sucked

MAD TV all the way their cast is younger and fresher and are more riskier. I like SNL but not as much as MAD TV. SNL jokes are more about like politics and stuff, kinda for older people. MAD TV is for younger people who find stupid things funny!

Mad TV is funny. But definlly not as good as it use to be espeically when Will Sasso, Nicole Sullivan That UPS guy, that tall spiky blonde hair guy, and Miss Swan all left the show. the new people they have now are pretty funny, but the old cast were a hellava lot better.

SNL, I never cared for. I do watch it from time to time though.

I've never really liked SNL, Mad TV is the greatest sketch comedy show on cable in my opinion. Also I love Alex Borstein so re-runs rock!

overall, SNL owns it. Eddie Murphy had more funny skits back in the day then MadTV has had in the history of the show. SNL has gone back and forth over the years, and will continue to do so. Once I seen they have the fat kid from Good Burger, I knew it was all down hill from there. Tina Fey is a hottie tho, and her new movie about the Valley Girls is supposed to be very very funny.


MadTV was great when it had the man, Artie Lange. It was even pretty damn good after he got fired, and the ones on Comedy Central are cool. But the new ones, they just are not that funny to me.

I guess right now, like Hyuga said, they are both in the crapper.

Funniest SNL skit ever: Christopher Walken was hosting and played the part of producer Bruce Dickenson in a recording session for Blue Oyster Cult's "Fear the Reaper."

I got a fever. And the only prescription for it is cowbell!

I gotta have more cowbell!


MadTV is awesome too. the ones they play on CC now are good, not so sure on the new ones. SNL currently sucks.

That's one of the best SNL sketches Will Ferrel is the man!
I was surprised SNL picked up Keanan Thompson from Nick I havent seen him in awhile.He's alright on SNL but his jokes on Nick was better.That was before when Nick was perfect.

SNL is kinda funny sometimes but they get WAYYYYY to liberal and attack one side quite offen.

MadTV on the other hand will attack ANYTHING and EVERYTHING and they do celebrities quite well. I love their new cast. especially Frank Caliendo and Stephnie Wear... theyre funny as hell.

Contrary to what everyone else likes, my favorite SNL line up is any that has both Chris Kataan and Will Farrel in it. MadTV on the other hand was funnier with it's original cast. After season... 2 or 3 it went downhill.

definitely SNL, snl actually has some logic to it while madtv relies on pure stupidity to be funny which really doesnt flip my switch.

I'm not too crazy about either one, but the early-mid 90's for SNL was awesome, and the first 3-4 seasons of MadTV ruled.. the characters of Anita (nicole sullivan's weird character from back in the day) and Mrs Swan are funny, I loved almost any character Will Sasso could do (Kenny Rogers' Jackass ruled!) and the UPS man... great stuff!!

Kenny Rodger's Jackass is one of my favorite sketch's right next to Clops.A MKII cabniet was on MadTV today in the sketch where Will Sasso's sister acts annoying when he hangs around his friends.
I just read Mo Collins is leaving MadTvsadMichael Mcdonald and Aries Spears are the only ones left from the old seasons I hope they wont leave.

I like MadTV better. They're just funnier. The only thing I've ever liked from SNL was their "Harry Potter" skit where Lindsey Lohan play Hermoine! That shit was hilarious!
