Sarcasm? You bet. Correct me if I’m wrong but wearing face point, strapping on fake boobs, and pretending to scare people was never very cool. Why does this man (and I use the word “man” loosely) have a fan base? His music must be really really really good.

He has a fan-base because he's Marilyn fucking Manson. He came in right at the tail end of the grunge-rock era with an original raw sound that challenged the ears of mainstream radio along with the "values" of conservative christian america. He had to be so over-the-top and borderline cartoony, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten the fame and recognition he deserved.

Now cut to ten years later, he needs to get off his ass and do something original and non-sucky. Like letting Tim Skold have more control over the next studio effort, and cut back on the electronic drum kits this time around.

I have to say Anti- christ superstar was Mansons best album i dont think he can ever top it.I like mechanical animals alot even though i know alot of people hated it and called it his sell out album. I think the album had its own feel a very cool one especially on drugs lol.Also portrait of american famliy was real good too.My least fav album probably is holywood or golden age.

Marilyn Manson is Fantabulous!

It's too bad some of his fans don't appreciate his albums until he comes out with a new one... like Mechanical Animals... people were bitching and moaning about it- then Holywood came out for people to bitch about and Mechanical Animals somehow became a fucking phenomenon! and guess what was happening while holywood was beginning to be recognised with it's genius? you got it. The golden age of grotesque is dammed to hell!!!... but come his next CD, people will be too busy hating whatever THAT one may be to not like The golden age of grotesque for what greatness it really is

that's my 7 cents.

No. Tim Skold is a million times better than Twiggy. If you ever heard KMFDM, Shotgun Messiah, or Skold's solo band, you'd know this. The problem was Tim Skold was not used to his fullest capabilites on the last album. Manson needs to fucking let Tim have more creative control and he would make the heaviest Manson we would ever hear.
