So Marvel is holding in event today and showed it's 9 movie projects in the works. None of these are any real big surprise, but it does put some of the rumors to rest at least. The ones we know are Cap 3, Thor 3, GoTG 2, and Avenger 3 with that being split into 2 seperate movies. We also got, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel and InHumans, all of which are set to release within the next 5 years.

So if marvel has any intention of borrowing Spider-Man. It would make sense he would most likely appear in Captain America: civil war and avenger's infinity wars.
I could also see marvel using thor: ragnarok as a way of rebooting thor with a new lead after phase 3.

I'm going to disagree and say that Spider-man's roll is going to go to Black Panther in Civil War.

Out of all that was announced, aside from the Avengers I'd say the Captain Marvel movie has me the most excited.

I was always under the assumption that "Phase Three" would be the last one and the Infinity Gauntlet adaptation would be the grand finale. It certainly makes sense as a logical stopping point. But the more this moves forward and the more money each film makes I find it relatively unbelievable that they'll just stop cold and consider the story complete. I guess the big question is if they'll do a straight reboot and start from scratch or if they'll continue the same saga but recast as necessary as actors start bowing out. I can see the good and bad of both options.

I'd prefer the latter, it shouldn't be hard to recast some characters and still make sense out of it, and then there's possibility in young avengers, runaways, avengers academy, and maybe by then they'll have rights to x men or fantastic four and do a proper galactus adaptation. I certainly think they'll start recasting after Phase 3.Guys like Hemsworth and Chris Evans really don't want to keep pumping iron to stay in shape. Downy kind of lucked out on that. But I think after Infinity War, they'll have fresh liscences that people might want to see more of like Captain Marvel, Black Panther Doctor Strange and others. So while it might end up being the end for the original movies from Phase 1, it's also a huge platform for a bunch of new franchises.
