MK:DA (Adema) and Spyhunter (Vanessa Carlton)aren't the only games getting theme songs done by bandsApparently this is old news that dates back to a month ago, but Midway signed up one of my most favorite bands to do another theme song for one of their games. Cold has a song/video out called "With My Mind" for Midway's new game Psi-Ops. I've only heard a little bit since I'm streaming the video from Cold's website and I use dial-up, but the song sounds freaking awesome so far so check it out.

I thought Midway was supposed to be watching their spending, considering the current financial situation they're in.

i never heard of adema before MKDA, hopefully this time they will create something in house with there own tallent, or simply have something written, and out source the diff band spaces to qualified aplicants, ha the midway band, that be funny.

I wouldn't worry too much Shingo. The only publicity these bands are getting is from the games so I'm sure they're taking any money they can from Midway.

Actually I read today that Midway is trying to get John Woo to direct the Rock in Spyhunter...perhaps they are pulling out all the stops..

Vanessa Carlton makes grammy-caliber music, has been featured on MTV several times, and gets regular radio airplay.

I'd say her license isn't exactly cheap.

I'm pretty sure Midway themselves aren't making the movie. Whoever makes it will most likely fund the majority of the film, as well as pay Midway for licensing it's properties...

Mortal Kombat Deception should feature a theme by E.S. Posthumus.

Credit for anyone who knows who they are.

Hell yeah! "Ebla" or "Pompeii" would do the trick, me thinks.

I think the song Step Up by Drowning Pool would
have been a good theme song.

Adema in MK:DA was... blech. Of course Adema wasn't that great to begin with. But I've had that little clip of "In my mind" from Psi Ops stuck in my head since I saw the trailer for the game as a bonus on The Suffering. I'll have to check that band out now.

You're right, but that's why this struck me as odd. In the headline it didn't say "Paramount wants John Woo" or "New Line wants John Woo" it said "Midway close to getting John Woo to direct Spyhunter"...

I saw this over on cinecon.com

Adema wasn't made by MK:DA, they were already getting known by "Giving In" but as we know, they're not that popular still. Someone already mentioned Vanessa Carlton's achievements. I'll assure you, Cold is not another Adema. Cold blows Adema out of the water and out of the atmosphere. I'm just curious as to who their new guitarist since the one they had left and went to Evanescence.

And "Suffocate", but all of you save the trouble and buy the whole cd "Year of the Spider." The whole album is golden, might as well pick up 13 Ways to Bleed On Stage because thats an amazing album as well.

i got an idea

danny elfman, the elfman

he would be perfect for making the souindtrack for the new gauntlet, and deception

when MS scored him for fable, i was like HTF did the score danny elfman, they prob put out a fortune to get him to agree to make the muic for fable.

i think its fable MS got him for.

I can't believe Midway still picks these shithole; washed-out; last generation bands to play their music. I suppose Shingo has a point about "budget" after all.
