And I have a question for you guys that would be pretty helpful, (any answer will help... no matter how random. I just need your mind. haha)
So,
I am writing a screenplay; and so far I am just putting things on a storyboard. I do this because I find it enjoyable!
So my question is,
what have you always wanted to see in a movie? Something absolutely no one has even thought of yet. Story, plot, something in a character, beginning of a movie, ending of a movie, etc. Anything will be helpful.
Danke Schon you guys!

Even if you think these types of people don't deserve redemption in any circumstances, wouldn't it at least be interesting to see Hollywood try it? I'd pay ten dollars to see a sci-fi thriller about Jim Bob, a wife-beating alcoholic who saves the world from aliens, and in the process, discovers virtue and redemption.
Doesn't have to be a wife-beater. It could also be a crazy kitten-killing woman.
I've always wanted to see a movie that revolves around martial arts and horror based elements, so as two merge the two genres. It could be something like humans that know martial arts and fighting off zombies (or some other killer) that may or may not know martial arts as well.
As you might know if you watch many horror movies, sometimes the victim/s won't put up a fight, shows they don't know how to fight, or never grab a weapon or run away from the villain/s. I think it would be far more interesting if they tried to show at least some or most human characters in the movie fighting back! Maybe they might die in the process but at least they fought for their lives.
So obviously, you can see that I am new to this website. (Awesomeness)

First off, Welcome to MKO.
Second, here's a story I once was going to use but decided not to, so I'll pass it to you.
I came up with a highly controversal story about five law school students who loathed the U.S. government and decided they would each gain a high position within the government and together commit coup d' taut from within.
A lot of people will be pissed at the story, but that's what makes many movies awesome, controversy.
That is probably the best idea I've received yet; and as for everyone else, those are all so far very brilliant ideas!
I'll get working on that right away, and if anybody else has any other suggestions. Let me know!
Please note that it would be nice if you let me know about certain things that irritate you in movies.
This is so much fun guys, reading your ideas; keep them coming.
Riyakou...

Here's one thing that really irritates me about a lot of movies and "National Treasue" is a prime example:
Lack of Research
Dark comedy: An elderly man starts his one revenge service, which as it starts growing, starts getting more violent requests.
Drama: The struggle of a couple of druggies trying to put their lives together to keep their children. Antagonist could be their pusher trying to keep hooked and parents trying to keep them apart.

I wanna see a redemption story that redeems someone who isn't a murderer. Murder is the worst possible crime, but people have no qualms watching films where murderers see the error of their ways to reform their life, usually obtaining a love interest in the process. Dragonball Z is obviously the worst offender of this (Although Vegeta was sentenced to hell when he died despite that he didn't go there). Yet you'll never see this type of story applied to rapists, pedophiles, or wife beaters.

I think this idea written with the setting along the likes of Jacob's Ladder/Session 9 would be a movie I would pay to go see. 10 times.

I always ask myself "What would Aaron Sorkin do?" lol. How many scripts have you completed? I've only written one feature length, back when I was like 14 through 16 years old. Been doing short films and skits for the past 4 years, just recently decided to take on another feature length, I'm just over half-way through with the first draft. planning on filming it once I graduate film school.
- An over use of action
- Trying to hard to appear like an everyman
- Trying to get by on an overly convoluted plot *COUGH*Inception*COUGH*
- Overly obvious references to Political/Historical events. I'm not even gonna cough that is a direct shot at Avatar.
- Focusing too much on stunning visual effects or stunts.
- Trying to please everyone. Movies are generally, for me at least, more enjoyable if they fit into a specific niche.
- Sacrificing story for emotion. AGAIN a shot at Avatar.
- Following the Norm. If vampires are popular, for the love of God don't make a vampire movie. I love when movies do something different; like when you get a Western in the middle of the Feel Good Dramadies.
