As many of you will know, dring September 1-5, At the ExCel centre in London, there was a huge gaming event called GameStars Live. I attended this show and i really enjoyed it. I played:
Halo 2, Splinter Cell X (Chaos Theory, Pro Evolution Soccer 4, Tony Hawks Underground 2, Fifa 2005, Burnout 3:Takedown, Championship Manager 5, MK:Deception (but only briefly cause I'm not 18 by a long shot!), Madden 2005, Prince of Persia 2, LEGO Star Wars, Total Manager 2005 and a few more. I also used the ActionStick and GameTrak peripherals and I completed Sonic The Hedgehog on the Mini MegaDrive (Genesis) thingy. I also played the whole catalogue of N-Gage games. There was loads of freebies scattered throughout the place. The best of which was a free copy of Battle Realms on the PC, an official PS2 Magazine shirt and a free N-Gage QD shirt. I didnt spot any celebrities but there were loads of models hanging around (especially near the Playboy stand!) and 2 dudes dressed as Master Chief! I have a photo of the latter if anyone wants to see them. The whole thing was really well set out, with hundreds of playable games most of which are not out for a while. If anybody wants me to, I'll go into detail about any of the above games (I dont want to type a load of stuff which no-one will read!) Thanks for reading - Scorp748

Has Pro Evo 4 got rid of the whole running down the wings thing sorted so you have to rely on playing it with a bit more skill?
Are the close-range free kicks easier as I was only able to score regularly with Roberto Carlos?
Has the whole auto run been taken out were the ball is knocked out of play because of the player not being able to turn around?
---------------------------------------------------
Has Fifa 2005 come closer to Pro Evo's gameplay? or have they thought up another random tactic that isn't that useful?
---------------------------------------------------
I already have a good idea that burnout 3 will be brilliant based on the engine used for Burnout 2 but are there more cars, tracks, and crash levels?
thanks

hmm I just read about Lego Star Wars yesterday. Can you tell us if you have any opinions on this game? Thanks.
FLSTYLE, On Pro Evo 4, I only had a very short go. I can answer one of your questions - the free kicks seem to be easier. I was always good at them anyway but I found it a bit easier to score them. Fifa 2005 is shocking as far as football games go - yes there is a new useless addition called first touch control. It adds nothing to the game. Its bollocks. Don't buy it. Lol. Burnout 3 now has 100 or so crash levels and it looks like it has many more races than Burnout 2. There is going to be a load more cars I think. I base this on the fact that on the 1st 3 crash levels I played (the rest were locked), a top score unlocks a car. Seeing as theres 100 of these, there shoulsd be a load more cars than there is in Burnout 2. The crashes are spectacular. 100X better then they were in BO2. Theres a new particle effect which sends fragments of the car flying everywhere. They truly have to be seen to be believed. The gameplays a lot faster and there are loads of new features. If you want to know more (which you should!) PM and ill go into all the detail you need! Blade-Tsung, I actually quite enjoyed Lego Star Wars which is an odditiy considering i hate Lego and Star Wars! Its fun to play, its simple and the co-op mode is really fun. The graphics are pretty good for a toy simulation. I only played a small portion but I enjoyed it. They also gave me a mini Stormtrooper keyring which is cool! I hope this is enough info for you! Thanks, Scorp748

Thanks a lot man. Royce da 5'9 is excellent, btw.

I love Royce. He got buried over here cause after he broke up with Em and Dre they kinda made his rap career a living hell. I still like him however, he has quite a few decent diss jams where he kills Shady/Aftermath. I have his last cd out in my car right now. I don't recall the name, I think it might be Life after death? I'm not sure, but it's a banger.
Edit- I think the title is Death Is Certain

It's called Death Is Certain. It is one of my best hip hop albums. He's a lyrical genius. I was a big fan of Bad Meets Evil in the short time that they were around. It's a shame he and em fell out. They were such a good duo. It's D12s fault according to Royce. They are all up in Ems ass. But Royce won the battle songwise. he ripped Bizarre to pieces on Malcolm X. Dunno if you've heard it though. Back on topic, if anybody else needs more info about a certain game, fell free to ask! Thanks, Scorp748

gimmie some Halo 2 news bro
Sub, Halo 2 is one of, if not the, best games I have ever played. Its indescribable. It feels so different although it remains the same gameplay wise. Duel wielding works a charm and Warthogs handle even better now. Its so fun to play. I played a team deathmatch (Red Vs Blue, 5 v 5) via Xbox Live. It was first team to 15 kills (which I provided 9 of
) I played the Zanzibar level which is in the E3 presentation you may have seen recently. Basically, I will not let the Halo fans down even a tiny bit. it was worth queueing up for an hour just to play it for 5 mins! Enough? Thanks

I saw the vid of the Halo 2 tournament that took place at an MLG event in August, and while it was cool, it wasn't as GREAT as I expected. Things "felt" just too...diffrent than Halo: CE. However, it must be noted that they used a 4 month old beta version of the game, and you gotta put yourself in their shoes: If you're among the very first individuals in the world playing Halo 2, you'd simply play recklessly. Maybe things'll be much more different by Nov. 9.
As for Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (Winning Eleven 8, for us on THIS side of the world), as long as they update the rosters and squads (the Japanese version that was released in August featured the 2003/2004 squads) by the time it is released in the US (a site has a 12/31/04 release date, but I'm not sure), keep the same gameplay from WE7 and more people will hopefully say "FIFA who?"
I can see where youre coming from with the Halo 2 thing but I have to disagree. Having played it I can tell you it is 100% Halo! It doesnt play like any other FPS available. I guarantee you that if you liked the 1st game, you will love the 2nd. I also hope FIFA gets phased out cause it is plain shite. People always buy it by the millions though simply because it has real player names where PES4 has fake names. Its ridiculous how FIFA always sells better due to a license! Thanks for your comments!

You said you played Splinter Cell CHaos theory right? is it any good?
Regarding Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (Splinter Cell X) it is really good. The best yet by far. It reminds me of the first Splinter Cell game for some reason. I suppose its more dark and gritty than the 2nd game (well, what I played of it). Basically it is really good! I hope this helps! Scorp

In case you didn't know PES4 (WE8) has the Spanish, Italian, and German league licenses.
Its shaping up really well - the best yet! Theres loads of little features which perfect, it like the new career mode and the fact that you can now advertise your park in the paper! The best new feature is the firework mode in which you can make your own show, even choosing which firework and where and when it should be shot! You can also ride the coasters in 3D. I know more but is that enough? Thanks, Scorp748

My Fiancee went to GSL last Thursday as a detour after her go about at EGN with her presspass for MicroMart where she writes, after I told her that MK Deception was going to be there of course.
( EGN = European Gaming Network, apparently in the same venue as she says )
She played MK Deception there (before me! argh! lol) and liked it...and after a Midway PR rep told her that "girls were crap at fighters" (might not have been the exact words, but thats the jist of it..) she promptly beat him using Scorpion versus his Kobra.
One thing she did note was what she called a "freeze out".
When knocked into a certain spot on different levels it'd boot them to the start screen again...not something we want in the public release for sure, but then my assumption was that it might have been a stage fatality that wasn't included for surprise factor. Dunno.
She gave it a 7 out of 10 for how well she liked it overall from what she tried, and from her that's a good score...she seemed impressed with how Ermac was looking in game too, even though Raiden and Sub-Zero are her mainstays in MK.
