Hey guys! I'm always on here but don't bother to sign in since my count stopped going up years ago but anyways, what are your thoughts on the new Oreo add supporting gay pride? Thoughts, opinions are welcome. Also, me and a couple of friends went ahead and made a commercial for the occasion! Your thoughts and opinions would greatly be appreciated on there as well. Hope you all enjoy!

Well of course it's fake!! Just us having some fun! I doubt Oreo would actually make an official commercial coming out. They've already received enough heat as it is. For the sake of comedy! Commercial is not to be taken serious!

It's not that the commercial isn't real, it's the concept that isn't real.
A guy dancing in a flamboyant manner to particular music does not make him gay. That is a stereotype. For you to indulge in that stereotype is wrong and quite offensive, and it makes the commercial unreal.
I was expecting something sweet and subtle, but instead you made a mockery of us all. Shame on you.

Well I certainly don't feel shameful but also did not mean to offend. I apologize. Have a great day!

That was cheezy as hell, but I loved how the other guy reacted, being all "Hell no, I'm getting the apple instead then". XD
Also, to point out what Riyakou said, yes, it is stereotypical as hell, but as a gay man I have learned to have alot of self-irony and not take stuff like this seriously. The commercial also shows alot of self-irony, especially from the other guy who also appears to be gay, but looks at his dancing friend with that "Hell no!" look on his face. The two of them represent two sides of the same coin, the flamboyant stereotype and those who aren't.

The video wouldn't have bothered me as much if it didn't reflect the lgbt pride Oreo now supports.
I understand and am all for self-irony, but when when it comes to our pride, who we all are, you shouldn't take just one particular aspect into account, especially one that carries a stigma.
We should all be acknowledged, les we all lose value.

I agree with this - but i think it didn't even make sense. If the other guy had eaten the oreo and started dancing with the first guy it would have been perhaps more symbolic of our community 'coming together'. You Americans have no real sense of irony anyway.
