New policy concerning credited thanks in News Posts.

Dear Members,

Lately, there's been some problems over who is to get thanks for articles we post about on Mortal Kombat Online. In a recent occasion, there was a problem of who was to get credited, so this is to correct this issue in the future.

All stories sent in by fellow users via our News Lead Form will get credit for news, even if afterwards we see that someone posted the same story on either our forums or chatroom. Reason being, we usually check news leads before checking the chat or forum for a story; also we don't have time to spend 10 minutes before we post an update seeing who was the FIRST person to mention said story.

The only occasion we will not thank people through news leads is if a member of the chat happens to bring it to our attention first, or if we actually DO read it on the forum first. This is rare, so we suggest if it really means that much to you to be thanked in the news, I'd suggest everyone use our News lead Form located here from now on.

haha i never acknowledge whoever is credited because i dont give a shit. submit your news and stuff it attention whores. your just deluded into thinking someone gives a shit you saw the news first.
And just to avoid further problems, people who whine about not receiving credit need to take the issue up via PM to whomever posted the newslead. For example, if Scott-Howell posts a news story and gives credit to ~Crow~, but you believe you deserve the credit ... then you need to send a PM to Scott-Howell. If you choose to complain about it in the forum, then Skull Points will be issued. This makes the forum better for everyone as things will actually stay on topic, especially in the important threads like News Leads.

Yes it will to the general userbase. Site administrators and moderators will have access to those pieces of information, but we would never make them public or use them for marketing. We might use them as part of our evil plan to take over the world, but we still need to find the carcasses of 21,000 dead chickens for that to work ....

it only looks that way... to the untrained EYE! but honestly I have to say that this site is becoming less and less liberal... if we cannot talk out religion politics or insult a fellow slanderer for some of the bullshit going on in the world then I dunno where I may share my views...
