Then you might be waiting a while. Sony announced not to long ago that the PSP is delayed until sometime in 2005, not Christmas 04 as first announced. The reason is due to the lack of LCD screen production (due mostly because of cell phones eating up the market) and because they still are trying to figure out how the universal discs are going to work. I don't know how Nintendo is going to pull it off seeing as how they also are using LCDs, but they still seem to be on target.

Uhh... you just said it right there. It's a 3D handheld gaming system!

That's like saying "What's the big deal? It's only a portable Gamecube...". Well, yeah! DS is as far from SP as possible. Hi-res, sharp 3-D graphics on par with some Gamecube games, touch-screen interaction, wireless connectability built in, potential online capabilities, stereo sound effects, and a new, sleeker design on par with PSP's.

My only concern is how are you meant to hold it and use the stylus at the sametime, say if your on the bus or the tube home.The shape of the machine and the other screen, just dont give the impression that its possible to hold it in one hand and use the other to play the game.

It's so sweet. I have heard so much about it. At E3 it was rated the best handheld. The graphics look awsome. I saw a little bit of it. And plus I heard it was coming out this year.

First and foremost, the thread is about the Nintendo DS and its design, not about which console is better. If you wanna have a discussion about which console is better, then start another thread. This thread is only asking about your opinion on the DS and the DS only, and that's it. If you don't have anything to say concerning the DS and how it looks then this is not the thread for you.
