I've never heard of a democracy that was never in a war. Democracy is one of the better concepts on paper but in implementation it does not work very well. I am not saying there is something better but thats the truth. Any groups of humans, no matter the label, will go to war at some point.

I agree with the person who started this post. I think there would be LESS war if every country was a dimocrassy. Plus, who wants a king anyway. But, some countries arn't stable enough to support a democracy. Some countries need strong leadership. I don't know if a demicratic world would work. Also, two demicratic countries have fought each other. Britain and america in the war of 1812. Britain had a king but he was more of a figurehead at that point.

People seriously fail to realize that it's not government, circumstance, race, religion, whatever that put as at odds with each other. It's simply people. People will fight people until the end of time. And THAT is a proven fact.

I'll have to sort of agree with the whole everyone being a democracy thing...

BUT it would be best If I were king.

Which is why you should all be glad that I don't become run for the president... because I'd start wars with so many countries and try to take the world... and I'd accomplish it.

That's debateable, but I'd rather have a King. I'd of course be king. I'd rule with an iron fist. It'd be fun.

If everyone would simply be content with each other's differences and try to help out their fellow man, we wouldn't be at war ever...

It's not that shocking, dude. Perhaps a democracy isn't Perfection, BUT it is a hell of alot better then anything else I can thing of.

Perhaps the reason you have never heard of two Democracies fighting with one another is because there was ever only ONE Democracy in documented world history, and that was Greece.
At this time there is no Democratic government.
And if there were, to say that any two or more of these would not war is preposturous, as "Democracy" means the majority rules, and if the majority of any given Democracy wanted to go to war, then they would do so in lue of public appeal.

Yeah. I'd say so. It may not be perfection, but its the best thing out there. Look at america. its one of the most powerful countries in the world, its people are comparitively wealthier then most other people and theres all that good stuff like free speach. Whats better then democrassy?

Exactly. As I said above, religion is the cause of all war.

There will always be war, you need war. There is no 'perfect' place, and even if everyone was a 'democracy' there would still be war. My God is better then your God is what it boils down too.

So yes, 'MOST' wars are religion based, and if u trace this Poland thing back far enough, it very well could be too.
