I recently decided to watch RAW 9/11 and I noticed it advertised a commercial for new upcoming tag-team wrestlers. To my surprise, it's two big black guys dessed up like 50 Cent (bullet proof vest, gold teeth, etc...) beating up and robbing some random guy (paid actor of course) and, of course, threatening to come to WWE and make an impact.

At first I started watching WWE less since the majority of the show is dialogue and (soap opera) scenarios instead of... well... wrestling (like back in the old days) but now this comes by (not just them, also tag team barbarians, french ambassadors, male cheerleaders, etc...) and now I've officially lost all faith and hope in WWE.

Did anyone else see RAW on 9-11! Roddy Piper was there! And Kane and Umaga are getting brutal. Kane will be the first to defeat Umaga, and remain the monster of the WWE.

Heidenreich news, and a new wrestling organization?

Jon Heidenreich is currently working for TNT Pro Wrestling, which is a American professional wrestling promotion out of Virginia founded by Marvin Ward that perform a series of charity shows in local gymnasiums and small arenas.

TNT Pro Wrestling would go on to land a television deal to broadcast taped shows on upstart cable network MavTV. This Wednesday night show is planned for November 2006 under the name TNT Blasting Zone. There is now an uncertainty to whether TNT actually has a TV deal or not. TNT Pro Wrestling's website now makes no mention of MavTV, and they cancelled their September 9 show which was to be their first TV tapings. Their current roster is also questionable. They recently removed the link to the roster page on their website, and changed the scheduled Orlando Jordan vs Jon Heidenreich TNT Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title match to JD Michaels vs Bobby Houston. But May not Be A official championship until the TV Taping starts.

Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) began as a professional wrestling company run by John Zandig.

In 1999, John Zandig and four of his students, Ric Blade, Lobo, Nick Gage and Justice Pain, started to run events showcasing a brand of hardcore wrestling called "ultraviolent". Ladders, tables, thumbtacks, barbed wire, cacti, fluorescent light tubes and fire are common elements of "ultraviolent" wrestling matches in CZW.

The company has had several run-ins with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission. CZW holds a deathmatch tournament on an annual basis called the Tournament of Death. CZW's top home-grown stars include "Sick" Nick Mondo, Nick Gage, Nate Hatred, and Ruckus.

CZW once had a local television program called "Fake You! TV." Smart Mark Video videotapes all CZW live events and Xtreme Entertainment Group has released some CZW DVDs in retail stores.

Seriously, TheMkGeek, add this organization to your subject title. This is hardcore wrestling to the extreme. These guys make ECW look like regular wrestling. There are CZW tapes available anywhere, you just have to look.

Seriously though, CZW has potential but Zandig needs to get his shit prioritised properly before all his workers end up having to quit the biz like Nick Mondo did because they're so mutilated from jumping off buildings into pickup trucks full of glass and shit. I know they're starting to showcase more pure wrestling now, but they still feature too way much garbage wrestling, and it still comes off like a deathmatch promotion featuring a bunch of backyarders.

There is some real gems in there if you look hard enough though. They have a few very sound wrestlers and some hard as nails non-deathmatch strong style wrestlers like Super Dragon, Jigsaw, Excalibur, Necro Butcher, El Generico, Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston, Kevin Steen, B-Boy, the other PWG guys, etc. Pretty much most of the non-deathmatch stuff they do in CZW is a lot of fun for various reasons, so I don't see why they don't do more of the likes of Eddie Kingston vs Super Dragon, and less of the likes of Nate Hatred vs Madman Pondo in rubbish 500 lightube deathmatches.

Speaking of, I found this great CZW match on youtube the other day. Super Dragon vs El Generico (so it's really just a PWG match), it's filled with face smashing stiff strikes and crazy head drops, as you would expect from the likes of Super Dragon. It's in two parts, about 7 or 8 minutes in length each, but do watch it ladies and gentlemen, it's a nice example of what a place like CZW can throw together if they feel like it:
