Overwatch

So Blizzcon was yesterday and the day before and on the first day, they announced their new game, Overwatch. It's a first-person shooter where heroes battle in a world of conflict. There's twelve characters as of right now that will be available during beta (it's said that there's at least going to be twenty characters), and each do different things (obviously).
It's got a Pixar-like essence to it, but from the trailer and gameplay videos, I'd say it could bring a whole new group of people to play. Here's the website if you're interested:

I'm pretty excited for this title due to lack of "Team Deathmatch". I love games that force you to play as a unit to compete an objective.

They really do not want to move out of their little creative bubble, do they?

It looks like the every other art in every other Blizzard game. Mainly I get the Starcraft, fantasy and comics books vibe from it. Hi-tech dwarf is obvious.
And from what I have read I probably will not find it interesting, well, at least until something truly remarkable comes out.

So basically what you're saying is that due to the "lack" of different style, it's something that doesn't strike an interest.
Hmm...

Kay. And yes, it's your opinion, I however, disagree on the whole "it looks like any other game they've made." Sorry, it looks more like what happens if Pixar finally made a game of their own instead of Blizzard. Granted that the obvious heavy armor concept is still there, but it's still different than their other works.

I get more of a team fortress 2 vibe from this game but with the art style of warcraft which I'm fine with. think this is there way to cash on the shooter market since wow is coming out with another expansion.
the characters I'd rock the most with is reaper, widowmaker, and that class that has all the metal grenades around him that's kind of a monk/robot class. I forget his name.
I would like this game to come to steam but highly doubt it cause blizzard has there own servers and such.

I definitely like the art style, and yes it's definitely different from anything they've done before, especially the cinematic, which really does look like a Pixar piece.
The verticality in the game and the ultimate attacks for the characters, along with the supposedly huge roster makes this feel like a new MOBA more than a traditional shooter.

Zenyetta.
I'm more so digging Mercy and Winston. Despite that I usually play as a damaging class, I don't mind being a healer as well. Seeing her abilities and such is very interesting for a shooter game.
And Winston... He's just cool. The trailer did it for me. I will also take a look at Reaper and Widowmaker.

I'd like to get more info on the gunslinger and cyber-ninja characters.
