I wish they show it at E3. All I want it to be is a good gaming system. And it better play PS and PS2 games.

Im sure itll play ps1 and ps2 games. That way, the this sony console will be able to play the most games in history.

It dosent look too bad it looks alot like a VCR.I have a feeling E3 is going to be big this year.

the ps3 will probably be shown at E3-05.

They should at least say something about it at E3. Expect the unexpected. Maybe a preminilary model.

If they don't show it at E3 it won't really matter to me. Just knowing that eventually it'll be on the shelves at wal-mart allow me to wake up in the morning.

Slashdot just reported that Reuters states they may want to milk the PS2 for a good while yet, possibly even 2010 (not saying PS3 won't come out in the meantime) but it will not be at E3. The PSP will, yet that won't come to America either this year.

I forget where I read it, so don't flame me I can't report the source, but Sony said that PS3 would indeed be backwards compatible with PSone and PS2 games.

What I wanna see Sony do is give some better support for PSone games. Instead of a perfect hardware emulation, a little enhancement like Bleem did would be nice.

They tried improved graphic features, but it turned out to be hit-or-miss, with some games simply crashing with the features turned on. Because of it, some PS games simply wouldn't work at all, enhancements or not...

They either need to try and perfectly emulate the other consoles, or scratch backwards-compatibility all together. Let people know ahead of time if all their games will play on it before they get rid of the older consoles...

If i remember right it wasn't planned to have backward compatiblity for PS2 it turned out that one of the chipsets within the PS2 was used for the main chipset in PS1 and they figured out it was enough for PS1 games to work, it was a last minute thing and hence wasn't tested properly well that's what early PS2 mags said so dont flame me about it.

as for PS3 if it is included it will proberly be planned and have better compatiblity (i hope so) and as for E3 i dont think PS3 will be there, it will more than likly be at next years one, and already stated it will be the PSP that makes the E3 this year.

yeah, I hope they say something at E3, but not a lot...only something like the ps3 is going to be the best to ever come out. Something along those lines.

I seen that site since PS2 came out. they said that PS3 can play all systems including N64,Gc,PSone,PS2,PS3, u get the picture...

in order to play that they going to turn all the old games into disk. so u dont have to worry about what system to buy since it plays all games.
