Ok, after you install youre online adapter to youre PS2, just connect it with either a "white" telephone cord (not recommended),

or a cord that comes in many different colors, which is usually called a "broadband" cord, into youre computer or router.

Then run the instalation disk to activate youre PS2 to online capabilites, and you should be alright...

Yes that is the ethernet cord cable.

And the thin white cable does not play many games, however the ethernet plays everything...

Basically the thin cord gives you fewer options. For example, you cant play MK Decption with that thin white cord...

If its a thick or "ethernet" cord, its all right..

its a thick grey cord so im guessing that is all right

oh yeah before i forget can you connect a phone cable into the modem from a phone wall jack (basically a wee box on the wall that has the phone cable in it) into the network adapter

The CATEGORY 5 CABLE is a Cat-5 cable...a broadband cable.

You need a regular phone cable (which should be the other cable) if your internet is through regular phone lines (known as dial-up).

The CAT-5 broadband cable is for people with cable or DSL modems.

yes the thick grey cord will work perfect. I have a blue one, it comes in all different types of colors.

And yes if you put that white cord into you're telephone jack, it will work.

But take it from me, it's weak. If you dont have any other options I suppose you can do that. As long as you can play online I suppose.

But if you have an x-box or a PS3, that will not be an option for you. (just mentioning itwink)

You loose speed. Its not as fast as the ethernet cable.

Most games are not enabled to play with the cord.

Stuff like that..

Don't worry man, those are all the "ports" you need.

You dont need anything else to get online with the PS2..
