PS3 VS 360! The Console War thread...

About Me

I have all three consoles in my house, my preference is the Xbox 360, but the differences between this and the PS3 are pretty minimal. The Wii is a completely different experience altogether so shouldn't ever be compared. Bu the only reason I play Xbox more is cause of the exclusives, but PS3 has some amazing exclusives so swings and round abouts really, I could pick which console I would rather play out of a hat it is really that minimal.

I use to own all three but my xbox 360 got the rrod so I use the towel trick to fix it all up before it got the rrod again. So i sold it and it went towards pre ordering mk9. I miss my 360 so much but I don't think i will be getting a new one anytime soon. My ps3 satisfied me more enough to not even think about my 360. Now on the other hand I barely touch my wii but I still love it because of the homebrew channel and etc.. In my opinion it beats the other console in different statistics in far as the wii is backwards compatible so is the ps3 if you have 4 usb ports which I think I do. the 360 larger community and great dlc. PS3 is the big momma in consoles. Just pure entertainment and enjoyment all together.

Yeah, I've heard countless times about how the 360 breaks easily.
The PS3, on the other hand, is built to last.

I own both system. I use my PS3 pretty much only for watching Blu-Ray's, and the short list of exclusive PS3 games that interest me (MK9 demo being one of them). I use my Xbox 360 for general gaming needs.
I feel Xbox is better in a number of way. It just has a better, and bigger online community.I also prefer the 360 controller to the PS controller.
Security is also much better on the 360 than it is on the PS3. You get what you pay for, and this whole think with the MK2011 data dump leak never would have happened on the 360. I don't know what NRS was thinking knowing that the PS3 master encryption key is out there, and that piracy, hacking, and cheating is rampant on the system because of it.
Also I don't know about anyone else but personally I don't like the fact that I have to go and install games, and demos after I've downloaded them from the PSN store, where as with the 360 it's all automatic, and doesn't require all the prompts that the PS3 does.
I've had my Xbox 360 since launch, and have yet to experience the RROD. the problem with the 360 breaking because of the RROD is because a lot of people aren't following the recommenced guidelines in the manual of putting the system in a well ventilated area with at the very least 6 inches of clearance on all sides of the system. Most people are putting it in a crammed entertainment cabinet with maybe 2-3 inches of clearance, and the system is overheating very easily.

PLEASE tell me you aren't the tiniest bit serious about this.
The words "Microsoft" and "secure" don't belong in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence!

Maybe when it comes to PCs, but as far as consoles go unlike the PS3, 360 users don't have to worry about rampant cheating online. Nor is it as simple to unlock everything in the game as downloading a save game data file from gamefaqs.
[edit]: Also like I said in my original post the whole fiasco with the data leak dump from the MK demo NEVER would have happened on the 360. The PS3's master encryption key has been been hacked, and the security on the PS3 is a joke because of it. It makes every single PS3 game vulnerable hacks, and cheats.
