I was just wondering if it is still posible to play my Dreamcast online? I tryed before with the dial up adpter, but I was wondeirng if it is any different with the broadband adapter? I know a lot of providers don't support it any more the dial up, but wouldn't it work for cable? Cause I have the wireless adapter for Xbox which I use for my PS2 as well, and if it's just as easy to set up and play Dreamcast, I'd just do the same thing. Does anyone know? I don't have a moded Dreamcast, and don't plan on doing so just to play a few games online, just figure I'd buy the broadband adapter so I can get some use out of some old games, and the system.

Most DC games are offline now, with the possible exception of Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament (assuming there are still hacked servers available).

The DC Broadband adapter is quite hard to come by, and not many games supported it, although Q3 and UT did.

Thats pretty much what I mean. The only online dreamcast game I have is Quake 3, icertainly would like to get some use out of it, rather than buying a newer version of the game for another system.

Official DreamCast servers were taken offline March last year.
I don't know if it's possible to directly link two DreamCasts though.
Give it a try sometime. smile

I do know that people found a way to run their own servers in those games. as opposed to just relying on Sega's servers. They even managed to get the Excessive Overkill mod/hack to run on DC Quake 3.

There is a possibility that some of those servers are still up.
