Question about Winamp/Windows Media Player.....

So I was listening to my music on Winamp and then my friend on AIM pops up and tells me to watch a video clip from a link he gave. It required Windows Media player so I watched it then my Winamp shit started playing in the Media Player and now I dont know what the fuck happened to Winamp. I tried uninstalling Windows Media player from my programs and its gone but my music still plays in the Media Player this is fucking pissing me off Im so used to winamp this sucks.

He's trying to find out what to do to in order for his "shit" to play in Winamp, NOT Windows Media Player.

Here's what to do:

Go to the folder where all your "shit" is stored. Right click your "shit" and then choose Properties. Near the top, it should say "Opens with" and it should currently be set to Windows Media Player. Choose "Change" and select Winamp.

Basically, windows media player is assosiated with mp3's. What that means is that your mp3's are being told by windows to play in media player rather then winamp. Go into the winamp preferences, under general preferences click on file types. Then make sure the file extension mp3 is highlighted. That should restore the assosiations so that winamp plays mp3's.
