Jean Stapleton was awesome, Edith Bunker is easily one of the funniest characters in the history of TV.

I enjoyed reading about how people actually thought she was really married to Archie in real life, as well as named Edith. She was sent condolence letters when Carroll died. I thought that was cute. But she also put the role in the past and really never watched an episode of All In the Family until the last few years of her life. Interesting.
