Oblivion, a non mmo, single player game, beats the shit out of Rnescape. I used to play runescape, but it got annoying as more idiots started playing.

I'm so happy about the release of the 07 servers! Back to the way I remember things. Honestly, the highlight of RS-NEW was getting my 10 year vet cape.

The fact that they brought the 2007 version back only for members who voted in the poll is bullshit. Are they not bringing back a free version at all now?

No, the deal is that the voting goes on until the end of the month, and the amount of votes it gets will decide how big of team it gets and how much you have to pay for it (personally I think it's a load of BS so Jagex can get more people to register to vote). The way it's going now it's looking like there's going to be a medium sized team and a five dollar fee to play.

The catch is, you have to be a member of normal Runescape, which costs $8.00 per month, then you have to pay an additional $5.00 to play the 2007 servers. So you pretty much have to pay $13.00 per month, and if you don't even want to play the new RS, you're just throwing that $8.00 away because you have no other choices, unless there are over 500,000 votes, in which the 2007 game becomes free with a member's subscription. Also, the part of the game that was free to play in 2007 will become free to play again if 750,000 votes are reached. Again, I think this is just JAGEX bsing. I think they know that people really want this, and they' just want people to start memberships to vote for the poll, and they'll change it to something more fair later on.

I love the old Runescape. It was simple, and I like simplicity in games. I liked looking over and seeing a wall with a low-res texture. I actually like that most things didn't even have textures. I like the MIDI music tracks playing (actually Runescape had one of the best soundtracks imo). I lost interest when the new management took over and all of a sudden there's Rune coins and Squeal of fortune and other cheap gimmicks that cost additional real money to use.

I'd love to have a reliable server of oldschool Runescape (actually, I wish it went back a little further, maybe a month or so), but I don't know if I want to support that company anymore. And I'm definitely not paying $13 per month when I can just play a private server for free.

Got back into RuneScape on Tuesday. Loved it then and I love it now. hate the 07 servers though. 2013RS > 2007RS
