Was there supposed to be something that made you jump? I viewed this from my phone so all I saw was the comic strip.

That was actually pretty cool. Like the web comic version of the jump scare. I thought it was clever to (i guess) script to page to auto scroll through frames quickly.

It's driving me insane how this isn't about subliminal messages at all yet that's the thread title and nobody seems to care. It's like the twilight zone to me.

I'm pretty sure a subliminal message is when you watch something or someone then get a subconscious impulse to do something completely different... and it's impossible to note those because no one can actively think about their subconscious.

If anything, the title should be something like "Scariest little popup screamer you've seen." or something.

On the subliminal thing. Could you even make a thread about favorite subliminal messages? Isn't that the point? The good ones would be undetectable.
I suppose the Maze Game screamer should get a mention. Took a web design class once and another student opted to play flash games instead. He jumped half way across the class room when that thing popped up.

Also, how could this ever be confused with a subliminal message? How is it a message if it's just a scary pic and someone screaming?

Also, the first screamer posted was decent. If I didn't find it in a thread with "screamer" in the title, I'd have probably jumped.

At first I thought this was somehow a metal music thread where we talked either about metal vocalists who can either scream really scary, or a metal vocalist who looks really scary. If that was the case, I was going to say Chris McMahon is one of the sickest sounding screamers I've heard, and Peter Tägtgren is the scariest looking screamer I've seen.

But alas, this thread is not about this at all.

I'll look for my favorite screamer, I remember my friends sent me a really good one a while back, I'll look for it and post it here once I find it.
