Sexual references are everywhere and there is no escaping them. Kids as young as 10 are being taught sex education over here in England and I think it's pretty sick. They say it's to each them not to do it until they are older but many parents and myself think otherwise.

All I know is, it shouldn't be happening but it is. It seems like society is just ignoring it and then complaining about under aged pregnancies and the rest without doing anything about it! Society has taken a dive.

yea... it is, it's the commercial with the 30 year old guy and they're surfing and she has really lame lines... Her Disney acting hasn't gotten her too far...anyway they surf and then the guy says he want's to bone her or w/e and trojan man comes in and well the reast is done thru TV magic... but on the point it's like watching Showgirls after seeing season after seaon of saved by the bell... Innocense, is lost...

Where do you live? In the commercials here, the faces are never shown. There would be no way for you to tell, since voices can sound the same.

It's not the TV or movies that make kids have sex at young ages.It's the parents there are too many parents out there who don't take the time with their kids.Most parents have kids out of lust.They don't care about them at all.Then the parents push there kids away from them by telling them something like "Go out on the streets and let me party."It may sound fake but it's like that.

Especially alot of places here in Springfield.

I understand that the exploitation of children will always be there, as they are perhaps the largest marketing focus group in the world, and sex sells. But, it would be great if corporations and the media would take a little more responsibility when exploiting kids.

As a realist I'm all too aware how important a "healthy bottom line" is in business, but wtf? I mean isn't this all coming from the same generation who preached, "all you need is love"?

If everything ONLY revolved around what societies factions wanted- be them the majority or minority- then every single drug in creation would be legally sold and heavily taxed here in the US. Other things have to be considered, like the safety of one another and the very fabric of our society, for example.

That said, sexuality among adolescents of a reasonable maturity is fine, natural, and quite healthy in my opinion. It really depends on the individuals and the circumstances surrounding the sexual encounter.

What I would like to know is why do kids feel compelled to have sex at age 12 or 13 or 14 or even 15 and 16 and 17? Sex-drive is practically non-existent until adulthood. Adolescents just think they have a sex-drive, but they're in for a rude awakening once they reach adulthood...I mean, speaking from personal experience, an adolescent sex-drive is like wrestling with a newborn kitten, while an adult sex-drive is like wrestling with a 400lb gorilla.

these kids are sick. last night i dropped off my 7th grade sister and her friend to a middle school fun night and the girls out there looked like street whores at 12,13,and 14 year olds. Its disgusting, i wish they would think what alot of people are thinking that they are thinking and that is "look at me and my underdeveloped body". Also these kids are having sex because it makes them feel more mature when they probally can't even say the words without laughing. im not really sure who to blame but i think 13 year olds should be playing video games, hanging out with their friends, and talking about sexual feelings, not carrying them out.

Time's are changing, the reason people have sex at such early ages is due to peer pressure. Kid's lie about their personal experiences and it makes others feel like they are inferior to them.

The situation has rised to a point where kids have sex for competition against others. I know because I was part of it. I used to try and get with as many girls as possible because I wanted to be the one who everyone looked up to.

The drive behind girls is that they want to feel older, they look up to their big sisters and see how they have mature relationships and want to experience that too. The girls dress older, try to do more mature things and get with either the good looking kids their age or aim for older men.

The people who blame all adolescent sex on television and games ignore these facts, a very low percent of people would go and have sex because they saw Antonio Bandares bang Salma Hayek in a movie. It just shows that people point a fingure and blame any random thing on the feature that is not "good" for children.
