Kobe is a great baller, no doubt bout it. Let's not he came right outta high school. But Shaq is for sure the better of the two. True a lot of it, well most of it, is his size. He's puttin up numbers with two guys fouling him literally every shot, imagine what he could do 1 on 1.

If he gets his foul shots down no questions asked, he will go down as one of the best to play the game.

How long has he had to do that? I don't think he will ever get them down. I would still take shaq over Kobe because there are more players like Kobe to get but there are none like Shaq, none.

I cant believe what im hearing, Kobe WAS Shaq's sidekick, but now Kobe is the best, Shaws #s are decreasing and Kobe is entering his prime. Kobe will be better than shaq next year and the Lakers will be better than the heat next year.

1 onn 1 Kobe would destroy Shaq, Shaq has no handles whatso ever, his onoy chance is dunking. Although I agree, if Shaq had has free throws down, he'd be one of the best ever.

I would take Shaq on my team. Shaq is a once in a lifetime player, Kobe is not. Without Shaq, the Lakers will be lucky to be a 7th seed in the west. The Heat will probably be a 2 or 3 seed (especially with the new divisons). In three or four years time, maybe Kobe (if he's not in jail) will take LA to another championship, but right now, I think most everyone would rather Shaq.

All I got to say about this is... MIAMI MADE THE DUMBEST DECISION EVER!! Shaq is a great player, but c'mon! They got rid of Caron Butler, Brain Grant, Lamar Odom, and a 1st round pick! Shaq only has three to four years left, if that. And it's going to take them that long to rebuild and get back up to speed. Who does Miami have to score for them now? And don't say Shaq, cause he can't score eighty plus points a game. Dwayne Wad and Eddie Jones can help some, but the heart of their team is gone.

Very True, but another thing Jordan had over guys like T-Mac, Kobe and pure scorers is that he played as hard on both sides of the court and he was willing to pass the ball to his teammates, of coarse when it came down to the game Jordan won it most of the time. But really im just a Jordan fanboy mainly cuz i grew up in Chicago during there glory days.

Kobe wants to build a dynasty around himself thats what he wants, thats what he has left to play for, and now is his chance, with Grant, Odom, Payton, and Butler now backing Kobe I think he'll do just that.

yeah all Orlando has now is Steve Francis and grant hill, who happens to be one of my all time favorite players, but he still doesn't know when he's coming back...
