Vote: redman.

Just a suggestion:
If this isn't as successful as it once was, perhaps a change of idea is needed? Maybe a "gallery" of signatures submitted for the various themes? Lengthened submission period, and a little more rest between themes.

It's something that I will consider. Thanks for the input.

The winner of Week 5 is redman.

Entries may now be submitted for Week 6. The theme is Nintendo. Anything relating to Nintendo, be it platforms, games, or characters, may be submitted.

Shamelessly bumping this in the hopes that somebody else enters.

If I have time tonight, I'll enter. I've been meaning to, but I've just been so damn busy.

I'm officially declaring this dead. Hard to agree with the past sentiment of "Bring SOTW back!" when nobody enters.

I already know m0s. You don't care what I say or think. But listen to reason and understand why this hasn't taken off the way you'd like. I'll try and specify valid points that will in terms make sense to how and why. Read below please.

It's summer, nearing fall. No one is sitting on pc all day debating on what kind of sig to make lol. I do it once and awhile when I'm feeling in the mood to bring my laptop outside. But I rarely mess with laptop or photoshop. My Android and all these fine ladies in my presence has taken up most if not all my time. Photoshop is still fun from time to time. But admittedly, others including myself who represented photoshop sig making from 04 and on have gotten older, wiser, and just found other hobbies. Xtactics, Kam, Pred, Skins even more great artist who have served MKO and grew up.

Dial up for example was terrible, then we got dsl. Now we got wifi. Anyone remeber YIM, AIM? (AOL Instant Messanger) No one uses that anymore. Now we have KIK, Facebook Messanger, Twitter, Skype etc. With every new invention or movement people grow fond of evolution. Sig making is just one of those things that never evolved. It's kind of the Myspace of the art world lol. We had Grunge, then Abstract... Then...? Nothing. Everything pretty much looks the same. There's no real leap in the sig making department. And yea, I know it sucks. But what can you do..

I'm not here saying that MKO isn't alive. It's very much alive and kicking. But the users who built this sites "art" portion have all grown up and moved on. Photoshop sig making was the "IT" thing of the early 2k. But now we have new tech and interest like Smartphones, Kindle, Tablets, Apps, Selfies, and Instagram. No one really needs photoshop anymore. I still use it, just not as avidly. The sig communities have died off. Even NSL (National Sig League) which had Thousands of users clocking in daily. It's sad to see, but it's life. Move on.

Yea, I've seen all of that just based on requests being left unfilled in the Fan Sub forum. I just mean that there were more than a handful of people who wanted to see this brought back, yet here were are with 1-2 entries per week. It's frustrating, but it is indeed the reality of the situation.

In all honesty, it kinda is. General Thread is dead. Injustice thread is just people repeating and repeating who they want as DLC and then disappointed on when the new character is revealed (except MM cause I think everyone shit bricks when they saw him). Fan submission is down the drain. We got random people popping in and out when Netherrealm is making some kind of game and we have this huge speculation debate about it and when the dust settles, everyone leaves again.

MKO is dead. Dragon points are non existent. We post a thread about news only for it to get shut down and re posted for no god damn reason. Sig making is dead (as you stated) which happened to be VERY lively on MKO. I got good and spent hours and hours working on that shit. Only reason we come here is to see the latest dumbass get banned OR somebody talk about wanting Red Hood for christs sake. We're fucking done son.

Game over man.

GAME OVER.
