I thought Homecoming was waaaay too easy.

I enjoyed homecoming as well. Just thought it was too short and didn't have much replay value.

I'm excited for this game despite all of the seemingly negative aspects of it. Guess that's just the fanboy in me.

This should have been a great week to be a Silent Hill fan... but I'll say this is one of the most disappointing weeks for me being a fan in a long time. Every bit of good news was countered with really bad news.

We have THREE Silent Hill games coming out...

Silent Hill: Downpour-
Good: I think the graphics look good, getting away from the cult, being a stand-alone, moving away from combat and more towards cerebral horror
Bad: On-hands previews have called the 3D implement atrocious, the puzzles and combat outdated and clunky, and then there's KORN doing the theme song

Silent Hill: Book of Memories-
Good: From a studio I like, something for Vita
Bad: It's a multiplayer-focused game? Really?

Silent Hill HD Collection -
Good: 2 of the best Silent Hill games ever get remastered
Bad: Only on PS3, Silent Hill 1 & 4 are curiously missing, they are recasting everyone in the game to avoid paying the original actors what they're owed (lawsuits are incoming...)

So... even the games I DO want aren't sounding as interesting to me (seeing as how I have no PS3, the lack of Collection is doubly disappointing, especially since Silent Hill 2 WAS on the original Xbox). I'm not hyped for Downpour just yet, and we've seen nothing of the portable game other than the news it's a multiplayer focused game.

I really want Silent Hill to get good again; it was doing much better with Shattered Memories; but I'm too jaded and too disappointed to have hope for these; not even with THREE games coming out, that any of those three will live up to the standards set by the originals.

What?! No Silent Hill 1?!
That's ludicrous!

And that really sucks they would recast all the characters. I cannot imagine James, Maria, and Angela with different voice actors. Hell, I'd even miss Douglas's awful voice acting.

Back on SH:D, who the hell thought Korn would be appropriate for this game?

On the new voice actors for 2 and 3, I've heard that Mary Elizabeth McGlynn will be directing the voiceover cast so I have a little hope.

I'm not too excited with the thought of a Korn theme song for Silent Hill. In fact the McGlynn songs were beginning to get tiresome so I was excited to have a silent hill like 2 no singers no theme songs just some kickass instumentals.
