Now before i start explaining about my shit i need to let you know. I am pretty stupid about techy issues. Like seriously, I can listen and follow instructions pretty well. but please try to bare with me on some things(:
Okay so basically. My desktop is shit. I dont own a laptop to myself. and the desktop it mine. its still on Windows XP so its kinda outdated.
The main thing about it that is terrible is... it is the slowest piece of shit of all time. And i am pretty sure it has to do with the memory. Like i filled up all of my disk space not to long ago, and i tried deleting everything but im not even sure if they actually deleted.
Can anyone hep me make my computer run faster?
I mean i dont know what more i can explain about it. ask me any questions that will help you help me. I will try to get the answer.

delete your cache, cookies, and history files.
Delete/Unistall any programs you are not using.
Delete other files, then empty trash bin.
Perform De-fragmentation.
Get an antivirus and use it.
Disable unecessary start-up programs.
That will be a hell of a start. XP is my fav OS.

Thanks so much but I have a few newby questions.
Well for one I'm currently deleting every unwanted and unused programs.
I emptied my recycle bin.
I have avg, so isnt that an anti virus? Have any recommendations?
How do you disable start up progrrams?
And I forgot how to do defrag can you tell me where to go?
I'm sending all of this from my iPod. I seriously can't explain how much help you are. I could have went to a tech site. But I'm always on here and people here are awesome. Didn't feel like signing up on some unnecessary ass website.

You dont have to sign up to any websites to see how to do that stuff. Just google it.
Im not being a jerk, just it really is easy to find that stuff since its all pretty basic, and it would be a wall of text to type up.
