Here's a list of some songs that have brought me to tears at times:

Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter (the lyrics change eveytime they sing it, but every version involves losing someone very close)
Guns N Roses - Patience
Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night (From MTV Unplugged session)
Dream Theater - Space Dye Vest (Certain parts really hit home for me one night, and I couldn't hold back a tear)

Ok so I'm a bit of a softy at times...

Pagan Poetry by Bjork
Spark by Tori Amos

actually any song by Bjork or Tori Amos, minus the Professional widow remix and It's Oh So Quiet.

PJ Harvey writes beautiful songs, The Wind and It's You being 2 of the ones i consider beautiful.
Rufus Wainwright also, and Radiohead also write songs that evoke feelings of beauty and meaning.
Fear Factory - Resurection and Replica
Metallica - Nothing else Matters
Mudvayne - Pharmaecopia

There are so many...where do I begin really?

Mariah Carey:
'Vision Of Love'
'I Don't Wanna Cry'
'Vanishing'
'Love Takes Time'
'And You Don't Remember'
'Can't Let Go'
'So Blessed'
'Till The End Of Time'
'The Wind'
'Hero'
'Music Box'
'Without You'
'One Sweet Day (Feat: Boyz II Men)'
'Open Arms'
'I Am Free'
'When I Saw You'
'Melt Away'
'Forever'
'Looking In'
'Butterfly'
'My All'
'The Roof'
'4th Of July'
'Breakdown'
'Close My Eyes'
'Outside'
'I Still Believe'
'Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme)'
'Bliss'
'Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)'
'Petals'
'(Thank God) I Found You'
'Lead The Way'
'Reflections (Care Enough)'
'Never Too Far'
'Through The Rain'
'My Saving Grace'
'Bringing On The Heartbreak'
'Sunflowers For Alfred Roy'

I could go on and on with other artists. But I figure it'd just be easier to stick with Mariah.

Anything by The Sundays. Harriet Wheeler's voice is heavenly (yes, I listen to them). The Coors and Lush are nice, too - nothing like harmonized female vocals. Also:

Future Sound Of London, "Everyone In The World Is Doing Something Without Me"
Jeff Buckley, "Grace"
Coil,"The Snow"
Underworld,"Juanita"...

I've got more but I gotta exit stage right...

To me, the most beautiful song ever is "It's a wonderful life" by the Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution (BOTAR). The lyrics make this song so great.

Oh yea you can download it below if you're interested. You won't find that song anywhere else, the EP it was on is out of print as was limited to...very few copies. It's acoustic Ska btw. Nothing for you KoRn/Slipknot fans, unless you like variety. grin

Dreams by Van Halen's guitar solo (especially) gives me a emotional rush throughout my body, and tears start to well up in my eyes when I *really* listen. Why Can't This Be Love and Love Walks In also do that to me...Van Halen Forever.
