Soulcalibur - Weapons That Have Not Been Seen - Images Included
As a pretty decent fan of the Soulcalibur series, I often ponder thought on whether or not a particular weapon will ever be used in the games.
With this, I decided to create a thread listing the set of weapons I feel should be brought into Soulcalibur in the future, and I very much invite everyone else to give their own input as well. Anyhoos, the weapons are:
1. Lasher Whip
I'll be honest, I'm a bit surprised this weapon has not been used yet. Considering Isabella Valentine's whip-like usage of her snake sword, I thought Project Soul would have gone all out with the whip by now. They totally should.
2. Zulu Fighting Stick & Long Shield
A very amazing weapon, I must say. I love the speed of the style and the amazing long-stick shield used for defense. I feel this weapon would quickly become a fan favorite in Soulcalibur.
3. Hookswords
Another weapon I'm actually surprised has yet to be used in Soulcalibur. Considering how well NRS has utilised it with both Kabal and Mavado, the weapon is a definite win for a fighting game like Soulcalibur.
4. Double-Bladed Axe
I'm not entirely sure how this weapon can be used in a game like Soulcalibur, but if they can pull off a three-handle sword, I'd love to see what they can do with a double-bladed axe.
5. Yo-yo
With the constant speculation of the yo-yo originally being intended as a weapon, I definitely think Project Soul should bring that speculation to life. And with all the tricks that can be performed with the yo-yo, the possibilities for combos and special moves are endless!
6. Violin Bow
Now this one is definitely among the more untraditional weapons, but musical instruments have been used before. I think the violin bow can be pretty lethal in the right hands.

I have yet to see a blade wielded backhand style, so an elbow sword would be awesome.
I am rather fond of the Spiked Chain as a weapon, myself.
Personally, chakrams (Like Axel/Lea's in KH) are a favorite weapon of mine.
That's about it.

Why isn't Talim in Soucalibur V?
The popular theory is that since her original purpose was to be a loli-character, her concept sorta expired once she grew up.
It's sad, because she's one of the few characters who could have really benefited from the time leap.

I very much agree, though I don't think she should have her elbow blades if she returns.
Maybe blunt tonfas, or elbow swords, like legoslayer mentioned.

Yep, I would have actually enjoyed playing a grown up Talim. Loved her weapons, just hated the character.
Anyway...
I'm also hoping to see an ordinary whip in the next game. Ivy doesn't really use her sword like a whip... More like another limb. She has full control over it and it flies around the screen, breaks into pieces, etc... I want a traditional whip with realistic whiplike physics... Maybe able to snag your opponent's ankles with it and jerk em' around a bit... *shrug* The whip is a favorite of mine.
Another thing I'd like to see since Setsuka had her umbrella style castrated and given to Patsuka; an actual umbrella! Heh... With a very pointy tip and blades that extend from the frame.
Talim was my favourite character. Her being one of the youngest made me think that she was one of the only definite characters coming back for part V, and then when she didn't return, they didn't even give her weapon style to any new characters. Such a waste. Her exclusion is the reason I'm not buying V. I am surprised they didn't con me with DLC.

lol You know Soulcalibur currently takes place in the 1600s, right?
EDIT: After reading up on the Vuvuzela, I think it would make a pretty decent weapon, as long as it's made of something other than plastic, like wood, stone, or metal.
I've happened to come across a rather interesting weapon that may go well in Soulcalibur, called a meteor hammer.
This weapon, from ancient China, consists of a pair of blugent spheres on either end of a chain. It was supposedly used in both a whip-like and a hammer-like fashion, capable of being swung at enemies as well as being lashed on them.
I would love to see how Project Soul takes this weapon.

Someone needs to use a Trident + Net combo.
Gladiator style.
Gladiator style.
There are two weapon styles that have been omitted thus far in every SC game and i can't figure out why:
Sai (C'mon, if they can do it reasonably well for Nagi in Last Bronx... there should be NO reason the SC guys can't pull it off.)
Three Section Staff (I think this is a pretty cool weapon and would love to see this in a SC game.)

3 section staff. i've always wanted sc to have 1. kof has 1 why not sc.
hookswords. mk has it why not sc.
animals. hear me out. samurai showdown incorperates animals that can attack, defend, combo, etc. think it be neat if sc used it.
guantlet. kind of want to see vaious grabs, holds etc. maybe spin, twist, pull, etc used in moves.
boomerang. nice long distance weapon. kinda see it similar to tira weapon style.
flail. just kinda see it for juggling and knockbacks with some stuns.

Are saying you want an animal as a weapon or as a character?
If it's the first, I'm not too sure how it would work out, but Z.W.E.I. does have E.I.N. in Soulcalibur V, so there's a start. If it's the latter, I'm even more confused as to how Project Soul would utilize the concept. Maybe they'd go along the lines of Amaterasu in Marvel vs Capcom 3.

to answer your question is the animal as the weapon. not the character. the character could call the pet in for an attack or whatnot.
here's what i mean. Nakoruru is an Ainu girl who fights with her pet hawk.
watch some vids of samurai showndown on youtube with Nakoruru. you will see what i mean. then let me know what you think.

That does remind me very much of E.I.N. in Soulcalibur V.
I guess it could work, but maybe not as the initial weapon, but more of an extra.

Bangoo is not even in it!
If he's gonna replace Rock, GIVE HIM TOMAHAWKS!
Gauntlets and Shinguards also can be used.
Zasalamel, Taki, Hwang, Cassandra & Xianghua aren't even in V.
If they are to return in 6, give some old fighters new weapon styles.
Like give Taki sais.
OH! And a Kusarigama for a new ninja.
