- Michael Keaton Eyed to Play Villain in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Michael Keaton could be returning to the superhero universe — but this time, as a villain.

Sources tell Variety that Keaton is in early talks to play a villain in the Marvel and Sony co-production “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” starring Tom Holland as the latest Spidey.

Marvel and Sony had no comment on the casting.

Ehhhhh... I dunno, man.

That font looks pretty cheap and tacky compared to the logos for the rest of the MCU.... Almost makes it look like an animated film or something.

Funny you should say that, since there actually is an animated Spidey film coming.

Wish it was classic and a little less sports gear, but such are the times. Could be worse.

A stylish cut of some high school footage was shown, to the audience, highlighting different times in Peter Parker's day in high school -- leading to him having to excuse himself to act as Spider-Man. A classmate seems to be on to him -- "Where do you have to go, Peter," she asks in an accusatory manner -- before admitting that she doesn't actually care where he's going. The footage ends with a quick glimpse at the Vulture in action, though the actor playing him was not discernible.

Not bad. A little half-in, half-out. Would be nice if this were an early version that develops into the ful-on, real deal insulated suit later in the movie.

Kinda reminds me of Transmetal Terrorsaur with the fans in the wings.
I'd've expected something similar to Winter Soldier's version of Hawkman.

Shocker too, huh? Nice. He doesn't look like a Scorpion knockoff.

Be funny if a future version of Spiderman's costume looked like Comic Con cosplay, cause he's a teenager, but people'd probably complain about it looking too cheap. Maybe just as a transition costume, like his wrestling getup in the Toby McGuire version or something.

- ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming 2’ Shoots Web Around Independence Day 2019; ‘Bad Boys 4’ Moves To Memorial Day

Based on the success of the global trailer launch yesterday for Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, the Culver City studio has announced that its sequel Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 will open on Friday, July 5, 2019. Spidey essentially pushes Sony’s Bad Boys 4 off that Independence Day stretch. The Will Smith-Martin Lawrence fourquel, which was scheduled to open on July 3 of that year, isn’t falling back, rather zooming forward to Memorial Day weekend on May 24, 2019.

Because nothing will prevent another Spider-man movie coming out. Ever. Infinitum.
