RUMOR- i heard that Venom MIGHT be in the 3rd installment. i also heard that Vin Desel (cant spell his last name, but he plays as Riddick)might be playing as him.

sam raimi said that as long as he directs spiderman-there will be no venom.and to be point blank,he thinks venom sucks and are for squares.

also,the way both previous movies were set up-gg2 and the lizard will most likely be the main villains.

For squares??? Someone tell him 1968 is over first off, second off I think I speak for most fans when I say a Venom in Spiderman 3 would kick arse, and Carnage, well he could/would kick more arse.

If Carnage was to be in a Spiderman movie, they need to dedicate the entire movie to stoping him. I mean Venom, Spiderman, Black Cat, and other Character had to stop him. Spiderman alone could not handle Carnage.

I do not see Venom being in Sm3, but like I said, I would like to see Spiderman Get the "Black Suit".



GG2 will more than likely be in, but we just had a Goblin fight, so I think it is too soon for another one. The Lizard is looking like a strong candidate.

If they put in Black Cat, that would start a interesting storyline.

I also still say Spiderman needs a minnor villian to fight at the beginning of the movie.

Venom would be bad at the beginning and convert to good..

Also remember that Raimi is keeping it explicitly ONE villain per movie, so the second Green Goblin will be the only villain in the next movie, no questions asked. Raimi is trying to keep true to the comic so Harry is the next villain and because Raimi does not want to put two villains in one movie (he felt this was part of the reason Batman failed as a franchise in its later installments) no other villains will be involved. They may introduce other people who become villains later on like they did with John Jameson and Doc Connors. Personally I would like to see Eddie Brock introduced, but there is really no speculation on who the villain in the third film is and anyone who thinks so either has not read the comics or does not know Raimi very well.

What is Sam Raimi smoking anyway? Venom is a very deep character. Raimi rambles on how the Green Goblin is a personal villian of Spider-Man, but Venom knows more about Spider-Man than the GG could ever dream of. Venom knows his identity, and all of Peter's secrets. Raimi is a hypocrite when he says that Venom is for squares, he could never be as cool as Venom.

Venom is a great charater, but Carnage! Man if they stay true to the comics, they are ALL going to have a time dealing with him.

If spiderman 3 has just the greengoblin in the film, i know for sure that i wont go and see it, seriously it will be pretty much a rehash of the first film.they need to bring in new villians to keep the story interesting and to pretty much please the fans, the people who are into the comics, tv series and those who just like the films.Also the having only one villian in the film is abit shit really, i know i can remember spiderman having to deal with more than one villan at a time, in the past in his other incarnations. one last thing in my personal opinion i think that venom and carnage are the best villians to ever grace spiderman and they are supior to alot of the other villians that marvel have made.

I think it'll either be Lizardman and/or Goblin 2. I'm also hoping that they'll introduce the symbiote, setting up the way for Venom to appear in Spiderman 4, which Raimi is not slated to direct.

The first two movies have been about Peter's conflicts first with his responsibility and second with desire to protect those he cares about. Throwing the alien costume into the mix would make a battle with Dr. Connors all the more interesting, because like all the villains so far, Lizardman isn't truly evil. In the symbiote suit, Spiderman is more evil and there could be a great moment when Peter realizes the influence it is having over him.

It looks like Hobgoblin will be the next villain. He is kick ass, but I'd also like to see Mysterio or maybe Lizardman, Shocker or Electro.

They could save Hobgoblin for the fourth film and give him a cameo maybe in the third film as we see Harry plotting his revenge.

Electro might be decent. I can't see someone like Shocker getting their own movie. Nor Scorpion. Hey, since they're doing all the classic villains, why not Kraven or Chameleon?

Venom is my favorite comic character of all time. He is an anti-hero, a hero that isn't afraid to kill if he gets pissed off, but wishes to protect the innocent, though his intents become evil sometimes. I got the new Venom comics a few days ago and they aren't that bad. The art work is a bit cartoony for my tastes, but the story of the female Venom is interesting. Also the new Venom/Carnage comic Carnage is giving birth to a new symbiote... he wants to kill it, but Venom wants to save it and Spidey gets thrown into the mix... Ultimate Spider-man is getting into Carnage now and Carnage kills Gwen Stacy... what in the hell dude.... anyway... Venom or at least the Black symbiote costume in Spidey 3... that is what needs to happen and Raimi as much as I enjoy Evil Dead, needs to f*ck off about Venom...

I'm pretty sure I was the one who has been posting about the Rock being considered. Actually the studio is considering either The Rock, or Vin Desiel for Venom. I forget who they said they wanted to play Carage.

Also whoever is saying that they couldn't do 2 villians for Spiderman 3 becuase Rami doesn't want them to be, becuase Batman failed because of it, theres already reports going around that the studio is also considering introducing the Black Cat in Spidermna 3, so that would also help for having 2 villans, it also din't really hurt Daredevil to have 2 heros in my opinion, so I wouldn't see any problem having 2 villians going up against 2 heros. Also id doesn't make any differnace what Rami thinks because he's only directing the movie. He's not writing the script, and if the studio wants the movie to go in a certain direction I doubt anyone can change there minds. Also It would make sense for them to introduce the Black Cat since Tobby, and Kristen Dunst are only signed on for a 3 movie deal, and it's probably unlikely that they would want to keep doing Spiderman movies. So it would make sense to introduce the Back Cat so they can spin that off.

I personally would love to see Venom & Carnage in Spiderman 3. They are by far the 2 most popular comicbook villans. But I also hightly doubt that they will make it into Spiderman 3 after the ending of Spiderman 2. It's a real waist in my opinion for the Green Gobin to be in it, it just seams to much like the first Spiderman all over again.

Is Black Cat a Villian? Or was she a villian turned hero? Can some one answer these questions for me?

Who is the guy who plays JJ? Well, when ever he is done with the Spiderman movies, they are going to have a time finding some one to fill his shoes.

Hob goblin is a completely different villain all together, he was not related to the osborne family in any way, he was a mercenary. Harry becomes the next Green Goblin and I think you guys are looking at the movies all wrong, these are narrative concentrated films, the story is the most important point. I think most, guys in particular, just want the fighting action thriller of, say, a Blade movie (which I'm not knocking, I love action films). Spiderman is about inner conflict and how his personal life and the life of a superhero conflict.

Storywise, the fact that we will see a resolution to the intense conflict between Peter and his best friend is absolutely incredible for an all enveloping movie storyline. I must say one of my favorite parts of the movie was Harry finding out Peter was Spider man.

This is a story not an episode of WWE, if you read the comics you realize story was a very important part of making some of the classic battles, Venom in particular had a great story and his first appearance he threatened everything about Peter's life. This is why I want to see Venom because he knew everything about Spider man, which made him a psychological villain instead of just a muscle bound brute villain such as Rhino.

So Spider man 3 won't be a rehash, shit we've already seen. This will be a battle of friends, close enough to be brothers now deadly enemies. I'll be waiting for this movie personally with great anticipation.
