Stepping down from my moderating duties.

Hi guys, gals, fellow mods and admins. As many of you probably noticed, I have not been around a whole lot lately mostly due to school and real life in general. Recently, I started being an admin on 4 different Unreal Tournament 2004 servers over at MyUnreal.com and to be quite honest, i dont have the required time to moderate full time here as well.

So instead of taking a spot that another user could take and be more present around here than I can, I'll just leave it to the staff to add new mod if need be.

Thank you for the trust you guys put into me for letting me be a part of the biggest MK site around the net.

cheers and I'll see you online either on a UT server... or perhaps in a MK6 game online.

man, u was an awesome mod dude, it sux to see u stepping down, but that was very generous of u... a lot of people wouldnt have done that, and that says a lot!!!

Now THIS (along with what Potent did a couple of weeks ago) is the way a mod should step down from his position, instead of blatantly ignoring their "job" for a long period of time and then receive a PM from Jonin or Scott or DAB or whoever telling them that they'll no longer be a mod.

CS, I'll always remember that you were the first mod I first had "problems" with, but in time I got to understand why you did what you did, thus earning my respect at least.

Wow, He "Doesn't" want to be a moderator here anymore? I wish it were as easy for me to become a moderator here as it was for him to give up such a noble position. But he certainly has alot of dignity, That's commendable.

I wouldn't say that the site was open for American's only for moderation or Staff. So no.
ChairShot is Canadian, I am Canadian, ACJ is from the Netherlands... smile

So essentially anyone could be a mod, regardless where they are located.

Just it's not so easy as volunteering for the position or being voted in by fellow members...there's a lot more to it than that, and for good reasons.

And before anyone new or old to these forums thinks about PMing and begging for the position...please don't.
As other staff would even tell you, asking practically eliminates you from the running from the outset. Especially if you harrass us about it as some people tend to do... "Don't call us, we'll call you." wink
