I remember one time, a friend of mine was showing me this online archive with pics of dead bodies that had been burned, decapitated, hanged, etc. It was pretty fucked up, and I dunno why the hell he would be looking at that shit. Man, some of my friends from high school were fucked up. When I think about it, I'm lucky none of my friends have killed themselves. I knew one guy who tried to a few times, and failed; and a couple friends who OD'ed and survived, one of which was the one who showed me the dead bodies archive, but he OD'ed before I was friends with him. I also had a friend that was once clinically dead, and told me she has narrowly evaded death several times. So, yea, I'm lucky I've never lost a friend to suicide, or drugs, or anything else. But I guess because I never lost anyone close to me to suicide, the painful reality of it isn't really a "part" of me, like it is for people like Temp who have lost friends to it, or people like shoe who have considered it.

I have seen that video as well... damn it was sick, I found it on a P2P program when I was working on my old "haunted towns" Res. Evil / Silent Hill site back in the day, I was trying to grab some vid caps and I found one that was listed "RE- Hey man nice shot.mov" and I d/l it, and ended up being some congress meeting, I had no idea what it was, so I watched it, then when I saw the gun and the following act afterward, damn that messed me up, I was pretty disturbed for a day or two from it... and yes, his blood started to pour out from his nose like a water faucet, I am assuming he blew a clear hole through his nasal passages and the blood from his brain-area just poured out... I was so close to puking when I saw it, that also detmined one of my reasons to be VERY careful with P2P systems for video clips... ugh. I'll never forget the blank, glazed stare of the guys' eyes looking into the camera as the blood was flowing, it was sick.

As for knowing people who committed suicide, thank god I've not known anyone personally... but I did have to get counseling my sophmore year in school because I saw a kid get hit and torn apart by a train... My high school had a fenced off area behind it where trains ran commonly about 5-6 times a day, and this kid was found high on meth and some other crap, thought he was invincible, and didn't move when a train was comming at him.. the train won, his head went one way, torso, arms, and a leg went another, and his hand and other leg came towards my buddies and I while walking home. I can look back at it now as just a memory but it still disturbed me a lot, and I still have nghtmares out of nowhere once in a while of seeing someone be killed in front of me, although in different manners (gunshots, decapitations, etc.) I'm just lucky and thankful I ended up only becomming desensitized by it and din't end up loosing my mind from hystaria and such, i'd probably be staring at a wall rambling incoherently if I went one of the other ways after a shock like that. I just tell people if they ever see someone die, hope to god that it's not a violent and/or gruesome death, and really hope there's no last cry or scream before it happens, that shit stays in your mind forever, I still get really irritated and uncomfortable whenever I hear people screaming higher-pitched screams because of what I saw.

I haven't seen any sucide video, but i did see the daniel Perl murder. Found it the same way on Kazaa. Very very disturbing. I certainly wouldn't want to see any video of someone killing themselves or being killed ever again.

That video is crazy, mad blood...

Anyways, the song by Filter 'Hey Man Nice Shot' is about Bud Dwyer shooting himself, that's why the file had that name. It's a great tune btw..

Suicide isn't cool.

Although I think I'd like to die in a car crash or something. Maybe a sky diving accident. Something fast.

James Dean said, "Live fast, die young, and leave a beautiful corpse." That sounds alright. If you happen to die, it's not suicide.

I've come across the Daniel Pearl video too.. you find some crazy things when you do unfiltered searches on Yahoo and Google.. who knew that a search for "Curse of the Black Pearl" pictures (from the Pirates of the Carribean movie) would come across what I found, damn... the propoganda used in those countries for terrorism and stuff is just sickening. I know we have it here too, but still... sick.

I've seen a lot of things in my life, and I too had a morbid phase back in high school.. it's unfortunate, but seeing what I saw brought me back to reality VERY fast.. I know not all of them are really like it, but one reason I don't tolerate the whole 'goth' lifestyle is because i've seen how damn ugly life is.. anyone who tells you REAL death can be so beautiful or is so pretty, should see it up front and in your face, then tell you how pretty they still think it is. It kicked me outta my goth-wannabe state SOOOO fast. (I'm not trying to slam any real goths on the site, btw.. just trying to make a point of how damn disturbing and devastating it can be to see a real death happen in front of you, especially one so gruesome and shocking.)

Anyway, i'll admit I have had peaks of morbid curiosity and gone through the gore-site phase, but that past and went soo fast it was literally about a 5-hour phase so to say... if it's a part of your job, then i totally understand having to view stuff like that.. but if you're viewing it just to get a sick laugh or be entertained, or something even more sickening, then ugh... i dunno what i can even say to oppose that.

i just want to remind everyone that reads this that 'you are going to die.'

everyone does it, and sure you can miss someone when it happens, but if you can't learn to live with it you need to rethisthingisdisableduate your life.

Its as if everyone believes that they are immortal and a reminder that they are not is devastating.

None ever asked for their life, who are you to deny thier decision to end it?

don't forget you're going to die, just like everyone else, but don't worry, afterall its just death.

If you don't like seeing videos of real people dying or committing suicide, never ever ever ever ever watch a faces of death video. Those things are just damned nasty.

This is very true, it was admitted that a good 90% of the videos were montages (sp?) of the original videos and then re-enactments chopped up together.. some of it IS real, granted.. but mostly the videos themselves are fake, so if you ever see one an tell yourself :It's fake, it's gotta be..." you're more than likely right. I still don't recommend them though, some parts are disturbing as hell.
