well I've seen everything from this man from reservoir dogs to Kill Bill so I seen trailers for this new Hero movie, which features str8 out of Hong kong, kung fu superstar Jet Li as a samurai warrior in feudal Japan, (this is all derived from my own assumption) so am I the only one interested in this, not only is it a much needed asian flare themed film but it's by Quentin which is not bad at all, I think it will also feature the asian cutey Zhang Ziyi(sp?)

I saw a commercial for it yesterday, its a new movie. I'm pretty sure it flashed his name at the beginning. Either way, it looks fucking ace.

It's not really Trantino's movie. It was made two years ago. Quintin probably helped the movie to get distributed by Miramax. A friend told me that it was pretty good.

I'm almost definatly going to go see Hero, but I don't like how Tarantino is getting the credit for the film. The only involvment he has with it is that he brought it to the states. He didn't write it or direct it. Don't get me wrong, I love Tarantino's work, but this isn't his.

You'd be surprised how hard it is to get certain movies to the U.S.

Especially for a wide release! I'll Sleep When I'm Dead was a damn good British movie that didn't get a wide release in the states.

I'd give him credit for helping bring it over.

"Quentin Tarantino presents" is no different than "Buena Vista presents" for all the English-released Studio Ghibli films, such as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke.

It looks like he's Chinese (you can tell from the clothes and weapons) so he can't be Samurai, maybe he's just a Chinese warrior.

I just bought this movie a couple weeks ago. It's pretty good. The fights are great but the overall story and stuff is ok. This is not a new movie, and it is fuedal China. I don't know though, all the other characters in the movie are cooler than Jet Li in my opinion. You'll see wha I mean when you guys finally get to watch it.

I saw Hero, its a pretty good movie. has a good plot, good twist and great action. but if you are planning to go see it, i suggest you to go see it twice cause its really confusing when you see it for the first time. (i have to watch it 3 times to understand the story)

(if you are wondering how i saw it, my dad has it on dvd but its in chinese. and you know how china get all these things first before we do)

Well it was made in China...they should get it first. Yes it was confusing for me too and also took me about 3 times to get it. Thats why I'm glad I bought the DVD instead of having to go to the movies. But after the twist occurs, the movie kinda took a nosedive for me. It became less action and got confusing so thats why I have mixed feelings about it.

Tarantino PRESENTS to America. Hero is an independant film in China so he thinks we should know about it.

It's old as hell. I saw it ages ago in theatres, and I was not impressed by it at all... it was pretty boring IMO, the action was really dull and I had already seen everything before. All the 'good' stuff is in the trailers.
