First three. Anyway to answer your question, Terrorism is an odd and very effective tool, I think it is wrong, but many others do not agree with me - probably no one on this board though.

We've entered a new age of barbarism, and it won't go away anytime soon (if ever). It's nice to ideally think that we can "beat" terrorism, but if memory serves me correctly, we said the same things about drugs, crime, etc...

It's here to stay...get used to it.

thanks for respecting my opinion, but let me elaborate more on the subject of guns. i dont see a problem with protecting your family with a gun, but when it comes to war, its a fight. fights shouldn't be fought with guns, a weapon that can kill someone when you havent even touched them physically. if two people, or two nations have a problem with each other, they should settle it the old fashioned way, with fists, or with swords.
yes swords are messy, but so are machine guns and shotguns and so forth. they can literally blow chunks off your body, let alone your head if shot with a high calibur rifle.

It sounds like a novel idea, much better than using modern weapons which can kill craploads of people. But guns have been an integral part of warfare for centuries, and I think your idea, although good, is unrealistic.

Well maybe because this is proof that we're getting lazy. Why break a sweat and tying to fight with pride and like a real man when u can just pull the trigger of a gun. That's why ppl who learn how to fight without guns are more disciplined and intelligent in every way(martial artists, monks, etc.) No wonder North America is really obese.

What I meant is the Muslims who kill ppl in God's name: The EXTREMISTS. I have several muslim friends and they all say the same: the EXTREMISTS give Muslims worldwide a bad name. I'm not Muslim but I also don't isolate every Muslim is sight. And ur right, they're not the only terrorists.

America stepped in Iraq because Saddam was killing his own and neighbouring ppl. Besides, Palestines and the Isrealites have been fighting for centuries, this is not new. Their blood hate is historic, it's roots date back to Ishmael and Isaac. It's not going to end any time soon, they're going to be fighting for a long time to come. So I don't think that Israel is being cruel to Palistine because they've been at it for centuries now.

Correction: America alone has the power to stop the Arab/Isreali conflict. If they stop supporting Isareal and, instead, help reslove the problem....then all of it will be over.

I don't think it's necessarily about revenge. See, terrorists usually have an agenda, a demand. In this case, it's for the US to take its troops out of the Middle East, and stop interfering with the region because of its economic interests there (ie. oil).

Regarding Iraq, there are oppressive dictatorships all over the world, many of them worse than Saddam's regime. Why didn't we overthrow those dictators? Also, the invasion of Iraq was pitched as part of the war on terrorism. Under Saddam, however, Iraq had nothing to do with fundamentalist Islamic terrorism, which was the nature of the attacks of 9/11. Why did we invade a country that didn't attack or provoke us?

Regarding Israel and Palestine, I'm not fully aware of the entire history there. But why is the US taking sides in a conflict that's hundreds of years old?

Well both xcarnagex and Afghanblade make really good points. But lets say that the troops do pull out and we meet all of their demands. How do we know they'll stop attacking? I mean u cannot always trust terrorist right? BTW, the U.S. is taking sides with Israel because Israel is isolated where there are a whole lot of Arab countries. Arabs and the Jewish don't get along(pretty obvious) so Israel alone needs a little help now and then even tough Israel already defeated 8 Arab countries simontanoeusly back in the 50's I think.
