How do you all feel about Cheats in video games? I, for one, am a cheat whore. As soon as I get a game, it's off to the computer to gather cheats :( Do you think that they shouldn't include these in the game? Is anyone else easily seduced?
Anyway, Marmaduke has to be the worst comic, ever. How could anyone think it is funny? One opinion anyway, but still, like what the heck?

i use cheats if the game is rather hard to stay alive, like gta's, i use them, sometimes the enemy ai is too difficult, btu later on i use less and less cheats then and on, sftos does'nt have cheats out yet though...
and i liked marmaduke, i thought it was funny, havent read it in a few years lately though.

Depends ,some cheats are fun or useful but others are stupid. I usually play with cheats because games get boring after you beat them ,cheats make the game different ,so I guess I'm saying I like cheats.

The way I see it, cheats should only be allowed/used (and in a last-case scenario) in the single-player mode. When I first finished Vice City (PS2), I used cheats for every single mission. Now I'm trying to get 100% WITHOUT using one cheat, and I'm enjoying myself much more despite the fact that I already knew everything that was gonna happen.
The reason why I say they should only use cheats in single-player mode is 'cause of the idiots who take advantage of certain cheats to ruin the online gaming experience. Those bastards who mod their XBOX (to, for example, have the ability to have "glass" walls in Halo) get an unfair advantage over those of us who play without 'em.

I think if there are cheats, they should be time-released or performance-released. The game can keep track of how long you've been playing and how far you've gotten in the game over that period of time, and in-game codes will be released every few hours if you don't progress far enough. The computer should also be able to tell if you're just idling to earn the codes by "milking the clock".
Those in-game codes should be randomly generated for each copy of the game so they can't be passed on by means such as the internet, game magazines, etc. That way, you'll actually EARN the codes, and it'll make the game experience all the better...
