Definitely some interesting announcements from both MS and Sony. I probably got more hyped for MS overall, but neither was that bad:

MS:
-Recore (from the creator of Mega man, Mighty No. 9 and the developers that did Metroid Prime)
-Halo 5 Guardians (12 vs 12 warzone)
-Backward compatibility (always good, and it's great existing physical disks will work too. Their are even reports on Gamefaqs that cloud saves actually carry over to boot)
-Elite controller (i'm interested in it mostly for the new floating dpad. If the reviews turn out good for fighting games, I'll be grabbing one)

PS:
Horizon: Zero Dawn (looks awesome)
Finala Fantasy 7 remake (hell yes)
Street Fighter 5
Destiny (technically Sony, but I've been playing the XBO version since launch, Just can't stop playing it.)

Super Mario Maker is the most exciting game of the show for me, and I don't even have a Wii U.
Cuphead also looks really great. The art style is amazing and I hope the gameplay is just as good.
Just Cause 3 looks very fun and they seem to have improved upon the insanity of JC2 in every way.
No Man's Sky has tons of potential.
Street Fighter V is exciting. I came to appreciate the greatness of Street Fighter only recently, so this is my first time experiencing the hype of reveals. Looking forward to more.
Horizon: Zero Dawn seems like a very interesting new IP from Sony. Makes me think of Monster Hunter, but apparently it's an open world RPG? Interested to see where it goes, though I don't know if I'll ever get to play it.
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam was unexpected. I'm a big fan of the Paper Mario RPGs but have never gotten into the Mario & Luigi games. This game makes me want to finally try those out.
Star Wars: Battlefront looks like it could be fun and the Mass Effect: Andromeda teaser is intriguing, but there's no way I'm getting excited about EA/BioWare games in 2015.

Not interested in Fallout 4, but everything that Bethesda has shown makes me worried for the future of The Elder Scrolls. Apparently, they can make a game more "streamlined" than Skyrim.

DOOM is also pretty disappointing. Far too slow, too much focus on set pieces, ugly, drab visuals, guns don't seem that fun, weak music. The Black Ops III multiplayer trailer looked more fast and intense than the DOOM trailer did, and that's kind of upsetting.

Hope there's some cool stuff at the PC show tonight.

Fallout 4 looked great, can not wait to get that one.
I wonder how different the FF7 Remake will be compared to the original.
Shenmue III was a welcome surprise. Did not appreciate it being a Kickstarter though.
Mass Effect: Andromeda needs gameplay before I get excited.
DOOM looked decent. Did they really need to put a yellow filter on the screen?! Get rid of that.
I need to know more about No Mans Sky to get excited about it. What is it even about?
I hope Rainbow Six goes back to the roots of the series.
Mario Maker looked great.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force or whatever is pure BS. Why is it even a Metroid title? Still waiting for a proper Metroid title after Metroid Prime 3.
XCOM 2 looks great as well.
Super Mario Maker is a dream come true. I am super psyched for this. So many ideas... grin grin grin

Final Fantasy VII remake, I also wonder how different it will be from the original...
Y`know, aside from proper translations, bug fixes, etc...

Just Cause 3 looks insane, can`t wait. Wonder if the driving improved any? It was the only downpoint of JC2, imo. Animals would flesh out the already beautiful world.

And of course the answer is Yes... I mean Charlie, and Birdie return to SF!

Its about you getting to the center of the universe. Like Minecraft where you just build shit for no reason, NMS is about you getting to the center of the universe for no reason. 18 quintillion planets. Find, name your own planets, find resources, do some space battles.

Captains log, Day 315

"Flew the ship today. Used the jets."

Can`t wait to get my hands on SUPER MARIO MAKER!!

I`m already working out some old ideas I had. I aim to make traditional, competent Mario levels, not that crazy stuff from the levels shown. Not a crazy ROM Hack or speedrun whatever. While I do get some of it, I`ve always liked exploring the levels, and the stories they tell, thanks to Mario 2, 3, and World`s expansive designs.

I understand there are some changes to the styles to make them more compatable. All castles end with a bridge & Axe, like Mario 1. You can make Mario 1 & 3 style Ghosthouses, and Mario 1 & World style Airships!

I don`t think there are secondary exits. I need the Key & Keyhole, and or the Powerball from Boom Boom in 3 & the Ghostship in World. It`s essential for one of my shipwreck levels, gives it a treasure scavenger hunt vibe exploring to find it.

One thing I didn`t see was slanted land, to make hills n slopes. Sliding down is impossible on blocky block stairs. Maybe I missed it.

I don`t think the White blocks from 3 are in, the Blue & Pink ones are. You could duck on them to go behind the scenery, and the Fence in Mario World had a door that would take you to the other side of the fence, essentially the same thing.

I`m assuming we won`t be able to use every enemy. Boom Boom, Chargin Chuck, Koopalings, Sumo Bro, Reznor, Dino Rhino n Mini, Rex, Rip van Fish, Buster Beetle & Grab Blocks, and I don`t think Yellow & Blue Koopas are in. Blue ones would kick their shell, and Yellow ones became near invincible homing shells, when they climb back in after ejection.

Even with the understandable limitations, this is still THE most exciting news I`ve heard in a while. Mario started me on this path, it was a big part of my life. The crazy stuff you can do now is just amazing, and random, and fun.
I`m very excited to return to my roots.

<3 SUPER MARIO MAKER! <3

Other enemies I haven`t seen are Spike, Nipper Plants, and Ptooie, Boomerang Bros, Fire Bros, the square saws, Hot Head & Lil Sparky, Blaarg, Firesnake, and Flamechomp, Lava Lotus & Volcano Lotus, swooper, Bony Beetle...

Needs other Overworld themes, Sky, Forest, Night, Ice, Beach, Desert, etc...
Oh, the Black n White levels from World 8 in Mario 3.

I haven`t seen water in any stage but underwater. What about waterfalls from pipes, and stuff, like in 3? What about the lava, does it only line the bottom of the screen, or can we have varied levels?

White Blocks from 3 are present, but it`s unknown if the behind the scenery effect is in. Still waiting to see fencing, and climbable rope.

I`ll give a helpful hint to my fellow creators, and say we may have to use the Conveyor Belt as Tank Treads...

I also wanted to do something they were missing in 3, Submarine themed underwater tank level. But we don`t know if water can be placed in non-underwater levels.

They made a Hammer bros for each gametype, why not add the Hammer bros Suit powerup? The Buzzy Beetle, n Spiny Helmet is neat though, I wonder how they differ.

Thinking of doing an original Donkey Kong stage, with Lakitu throwing Spiny down the ramps. OriginalMario(the battle minigame in 3) with Koopas n Spiny spawning pipes. Tetris theme, with block arrangments dropping off open rails... <3

SUPER MARIO MAKER
I can understand why they don`t have water available, as giant enemies can break the usually unbreakable blocks, and they`d need to program water flow mechanics, so the water wouldn`t just float in the air, like blocks do...

They could program the blocks lining the bottom, and sides of the water & lava to be unbreakable. Then we can have lava suspended in the air by ice blocks.
