We all got friends, or at least I hope we all do. We will know them for a little bit and then eventually seperate. But there are some people who are blessed with having them lifetime friends. Guys or gals you thought at first "This guy is pretty chill" and next thing ya know, you're best fucking friends with him/her. This is the thread where you discuss how you met your best friend(s).

First one is Killswitch

This guy. I was in 6th grade when I first met him. He was in 8th grade. He was a quiet little fucker. Sat down by himself reading ****** (Sorry, I can't say it. I'm saving him. You'll thank me later Killswitch) and for some bloody reason, I waddled my pudgy ass over to him and was curious on what he was reading. Yeah I already knew, I was just curious though. So from there we talked (Barely) and we were starting something. It pretty much started in the afternoon. We rode the same bus and on the way home on this random day, his sister lent me a necklace earlier that day and she said just bring it back to my place after school, I was like alright. He lives like 30 steps from my place, and went to his house and for some reason stayed there. Weird right? You borrow a item and then you go to take it back and then you end up hanging out and eventually stayin the night. And from there, our little conquest started. I cannot tell you how many moments we have had. Breaking the mirror door with a broom handle, dialing the phone number in Silent Hill 4 and then bookin it out of the room, the countless times we have laughter in his room. We laugh over the stupidest shit, you have no idea. Its now probably 6-7 years we've known each other. Bitch, I'm aiming for at 30 years. We be bros for life. Hoo-rah. And I'm sure we'll have more moments in time (Most likely tomorrow)

Next dude is B$IN

How we met was a bit odd at first, then we became homies in an instant. We were kinda weary about each other, then we probably said something that we both laughed about and that started this badass friendship. We met on a bus on the way to school. I forgot how we ended up talkin to each other, but we met, we were cool and it was done from there (for now) And then something sparked between us. I forgot what it was, but we then began hanging out alot. 7-8 years for this guy. From elementary to High School (College for him) He got the same moments as killy up there. All the moments I said for Killswitch (Except the Silent Hill one) he was part of it. Just take what I said about killswitch and slap it here. This guy is cool, chill, will indeed fuck someone up, and most likely will tell you to shu-up :C B$IN, you da man. 30 years for you as well. Hell, hopefully for you and killswitch, it will be a lifetime.

I would talk about the 3rd guy, buuuuuut his is a bit tragic (I made him the cry the first time we met) Don't worry, he's in the same boat as the 2 other guys.

There is alot more info for these guys, but it would be extremely long so I shortened it... alot.

For me? Most of my friends were never really great or even good, I've gotten rid of so much of the drama, fakeness and other bull crap. The only friend I could see myself having for life is my friend Karla, everyone else is sadly not really. But as I've always thought, I only truly want 2-3 good friends, fam, and a boyfriend, keep it simple and less confusing. I am trying to reconnect with one of my old guy friends from elementary school though.

Ha! I recently moved on from my "friend for life" because of her miserable bastard of a boyfriend. I've kind of slowly drifted away from everyone lately, spent a lot of time by myself becoming a different person little by little. It's that time, I suppose.

Some last longer some mean more but in the end your on your own

And you probably wont have friends like the ones you had as kids but i mean people move on people move houses and that long distance shit dont fucking work

I really wouldnt say i have friends now
yeah a few people i talk to but its people i talk to not really and friendship

I have a few people in my life who I have been friends with since childhood and are still great friends with, and hopefully will continue to be good friends with in the future. And I love them with all my heart. ^^

I had some friends but they were drinkers and partygoers so I ditched them. I have one friend now and he is my cousin. We are like brothers. All I need is him and my gf and I'm a happy guy.

My best friend would have to be my sister. It's stupid how great we get along (so long as she's not on the rag. HIYOH!)

I know a guy who may consider me his best friend, but his tendencies make me wary of ever being THAT close to him. (hard time letting go of females, shitting on other guys when the opportunity presents itself, pathological liar, lover of hats)

I have decided that my boy Ky is a friend of mine as well as Quan and we all have love for each other, we simply don't see each other much so I'm afraid we'll eventually fall apart.

My bud in VA has described me as possibly her best friend, but I'm cynical plus distance and lack of communication is slowly making it harder to care for her as I used to.

I think me and the girl I've reacquainted myself with will have a good long run and if my friend's sister opens up to me, I'll most likely be a constant in her life, for I have a tendency to make people cling to me. She's around, so our relationship wouldn't be difficult to maintain. If it happens. Random Facebook add just raises so many questions.

I only have a handful. My best friend and I have been playing gameboy together since grade 8. Toughed out high scool, college, and adulthood together and we're still close. She got married to an awesome guy who is also a good friend now. So all things considered I think she'll be my friend for as long as there are video games to connect us :p Plus she's really the only person who is as socially awkward as I am.

It appears I've reclaimed one of my childhood friends and although it's only going out for a cup of coffee, it's still something. It feels great to forgive people for their mistakes and move on, not to mention, who doesn't love a nice coffee shop

I used to have a small group of close friends during high school, but as soon as college came, they began to change and I no longer wish to associate with them. I have a few friends from home I still hang out with, but only one I can actually have a good laugh with. All of the others are just not even mature enough to be good friends. Sucks too because throughout the time my medical condition got the worse of me, they were always there. Now that I finally got a good grasp on it and they see that I really don't need to be held by the hand anymore, its like they all ditched me.

Fuckers... But it got better. Got a little story with my new set of friends...

My first two months of being a freshmen in college was really nerve-wrecking because I was the only one from my school that went to this particular university. I was a bit nervous in making friends, even on the cross country team, I just didn't felt right with them. Along the way, someone from the university friended me because they're the kind of guy who will friend anyone that goes to that school. He found out that, at the time, I was into wrestling. So I decided to hang out with him and his good friend.

I asked if he has any plans for Halloween, he did and he told me I was welcome to come party with him. Well the day of Halloween that year, I asked if I could hang out with him and whoever else before heading out because my dorm was really pissing me off. And that's when I finally met my boyfriend, that was his roommate. He and I started hitting it off real nicely and that's when we finally became this loveable couple.

So over the months, he introduces me to his friends. I was a little skeptical about his best friend at first, but I started coming to in liking him a lot. I consider these two my best friends. Yes, my boyfriend is also my best friend, and that's a big yes for a relationship... well in my terms.

His friends are really cool and i wish I had met these people a heck of a lot earlier. I'm glad I found my boyfriend and I never want to leave him. I like the friends he has and introduced me to, and I cannot wait to see what else we do together. Yay!

[Killswitch]: I actually first seen this guy just sitting by himself while waiting for the bus. To be completely honest I kinda thought this guy was a little wierd at first. I went with Dreadnaughtx over to his house one day and ended up just chillin. I'm not gonna go into details cause Dreadnaughtx already did, but this guy was actually kickass when I got to know him.

Dreadnaughtx: I first seen this guy when he was a chubby little fuck. Said a few words, but didn't hang out with him for a while. I really don't remember how we started hangin, but we did. Then this guy and I were straight homies.

The other guy: This guyn I actually met first out of all of them back in elementry school. We were hall monitors and beat kids with the hall monitor sticks. Good times.

These 3 are pretty much like brothers to me and we have had some good times. There will for sure be more. If I'm not at college or at home, then you will find me at one of their houses. They are pretty much my second homes, especially Dreadnaughtx's place. I could show up there whenever and just walk in.

The first friend I ever had was named Conor. We met when we were both 2 years old when our mothers briefly met. Been great friends ever since. Like brothers even when years pass without contact.

He's the only person I have never argued with, despite our differences. I can confidently say he will be a life-long friend.

I have friends, sure. But the only people I actually can say will be friends with me for life are (almost) all of my brothers. I have a lot of them. My sisters I won't count because one of them can't speak yet, and the other one is 9...

The only person who I can say I will be friends with for a long time is my cousin (sorta) Daniel.

The title is friends you'll have for life, but the first post makes it sound like just the story behind meeting your current best friends. So I'll go with that because there's no way in telling how your relationships will go down the road.

Kris10 - when I was seven years old I brought Cinderella to school because I thought that she had really funny, saggy tits. Kris10 asked me if she could read my book and I said no. We've been friends ever since.

Matt - freshmen year of highschool, this girl Jessyca wanted to date me and this girl Edelyn wanted to date Matthew, but on our awkward adolescent double dates, I wound up dating Edelyn and Jessyca wound up dating Matthew. Despite our relationships ending, I've been friends with Matt ever since.

Sophia - I think I was fourteen years old when I experienced my first 4/20 and this girl I was hooking up with at the time had her exgirlfriend crash the social festivities, and we stopped hooking up, but me and the ex got close.

Tianna - at six years old I moved in to my new house, and the neighbors were having a yard sale. I went over and met the daughter who lived there. We've been friends ever since, but ... see this is one of those "you don't know where your friendships will lead" because she tried modelling, quit, then tried acting, and got caught up in heroin and I haven't seen her in years. Sigh.

Barbara - freshmen year of high school I was dating this dumb girl I didn't like, but it was September and I was like why not all ready try penetrating the new women you're experiencing, but I really disliked this girl and she'd have us three way call with her cousin, and Barbara was her cousin and wound up being way cooler than this lame ass exgirlfriend.

Alex - He had an 8th birthday party and invited a lot of kids from the class over, and we'd been friends ever since because we spent a lot of days getting all 120 stars in Super Mario 64.

David - my friend was graduating from community college with her associates degree, so she had a graduation party and then I found out that this kid was the twin sister of a girl I used to know like six years ago. He then transferred to my college and we got close, but then he said he hated me and cut me out of his life and became a born again Catholic so I don't know what that's all about.

Darn ... can't think of three more people I'd classify as best friends so this will have to do.

My best friends:

#1 Juan - I met this dude when i was 4, he was 6, we've been best friends ever since then, we help each other in almost anything, he's pretty much like my brother, i love him so much (in that brotherly love way), definitely look forward in seeing him in my future life.

#2 Christina - I know this will sound weird but, she is my Best Female Friend i ever had, despite the fact that she was my first girlfriend, first kiss, first time (Huh?) etc, i can tell her anything, joke about anything, pretty much do anything.

#3 Alvi - Woahhhhh my main manzzzzzz we formed the rap group Similar Vainez, just like Juan, he's pretty much my brother aswell.

#4 Troy - Also another one of my brothers, even though he's a weed head, i still love him, he's been there for me when i needed someone, kind of like my partner in crime lol.

#5 Antonio - I love this dude, he's helped me through the toughest times, also Vice-Versa, he's one of those friends you cant find anywhere else.

#6 Triston - My Jamaican counter-part lol, he's pretty much a blend of the everyone above (Except Christina ofcourse) we be having the most nerdiest conversations ever! lol love this dude BULLET!

and finally:

#7 Vanessa - Even though she's one of those girls who you just want to fuck (lol good thing my hormones are under control :O) she's an amazing friend, we be spazzing out on each other, then outta nowhere we're Best Friend Hugging lol, she pretty much makes my shitty day, into a not shitty day! :D

And the ironic thing here is, none of these friends know each other, besides my of course, (Also i love them equally, the order in which they're in doesn't reflect favoritism)

It's amazing to see how many mostly american MKO users here know each other in person.

I don't know anyone here really, and haven't seen anyone face-to-face. The only one I'd have a bigger chance meeting up with would be Zmoke since he's the only finnish person here besides me. :P

In my personal life, I've got a bunch of friends, mostly from school from my class. I've then got the rest of my friends in Helsinki, where I meet them at times when I visit my sister there.

The problem is that there are only two people in my town who are on my class, so I often hang out with only them outside of school. The rest lives in Hamina or Kotka and I'm mostly always out of money to travel all the way there whenever I choose to (I don't have a motor vehicle, and I'm still looking forward to a bus card).

It's mostly weekends when I can really catch up with other friends aswell. Me and one of my buddies from my class just went to see Johnny English: Reborn two days ago.

The more you age, the harder you'll gain friends for life. It's sadly the truth. You may get just as well along with a new acquaintance as with a ten-year-old friendship but for some reason you may not stay in touch with them. That's something people should acknowledge more often and perhaps do something about it.
Looking at Midway Boards where I roamed for almost five years rather actively, I think I have only a couple friends from there with whom I still chat every now and then. We will unlikely meet. It's the World Wide Web, you're not expected to face them. That's why you should live your life outside the virtual reality as well, real life. That is possible, ArtsiVirta.
