Hi, I have a question. With the success of Detective Pikachu and Sonic The Hedgehog, what does this mean for the video game movies going forward? Are we going to see more video game adaptations coming to the big screen? Would like to hear your thoughts.

I hope so in some ways. I'm tired of comicbook and super hero movies.

I'm not sure why Detective Pikachu beat out Jolie's Tomb Raider as the highest grossing vg film at that time unless it's because it catered to kids like Sonic.

Mortal Kombat will not be appealing to kids this time. But unlike Sonic, it's not exactly remaining faithful to MK the way fans want and that's its downfall.

I mean, Sonic strayed away from the video game world and onto Earth but still maintained his speed but some tidbits were added to justify some of the vg world brought to Earth yet fans didn't complain.

I hope it means a new Mario film, a Donkey Kong film, and a Zelda film.

I would love to see a Ghost Recon live action movie and a Halo live action movie happening in future video game movies.

I am still looking forward to see the Mortal Kombat 2021 movie :)
