Adrian Smith. There are a million light-speed guitarists out there, and millions more technical guitar players, but very few can actually claim to be unique.

Adrian Smith manages to not only have a high caliber of speed and tapping ability, but plays with a grace so delicate that the amps themselves would weep. I've never seen a style as good as H's.

Hendrix = Amazing, but a tad overrated.
Vaughan = Good.
Malmsteen = Good, but dickly cocky.
Rhodes = Great.
Halen = Awesome.

I'll look into that dude for sure, I know how close your taste in music is to mine

According to me, and this is based off the feeling I get from his guitaring, not necassarily how technical he plays - Oscar Gouviea from Beyond The Embrace. I've heard faster guitarist's, more technical guitarist's, but I've never heard a guitarist who can match this dude in my eyes for writing. A few good tracks, not that BTE have a single bad song even after 2 albums and a demo now - Release, Redeemer, Bastard Screams, Dronwing Sun, Plague, The Bending Sea.

My list is about as long as Needlesnake's, and it may or may not include the same guitarists as his list.

Glenn Tipton and KK Downing are cool. I'm a huge fan of Zakk Wylde , Dimebag Darrell, Slash, Kirk Hammett, Dave Mustaine, Scott Ian, and obviously, Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman. And I will admit that guitarists like EVH, Steve Vai, Randy Rhoads, and Jimi Hendrix are cool. However, I think the most underrated guitarist who deserves to be on this list is Jonathan Donais of Shadows Fall.
