The Greatest Movie Lines Ever
For me, the greatest lines of any movie aren't really the ones that become iconic phrases.
I was actually watching Easy A on my phone the other day, and I was at the part where
____________________
Olive: "...the whole world knows I've been whoring around-"
Mrs. Griffith: "No you haven't, 'cause a real whore can't admit it to herself, much less others. Trust me."
____________________
Mrs. Griffith's line is still my favorite line of the entire movie, because to me it presents a powerful irony to the film's plot. I honestly regard her line to be one of the best lines I've ever heard in any film, and Lisa Kudrow said it perfectly.
Another great line is one from The Breakfast Club, a very short one, actually.
____________________
Alison: "When you grow up, your heart dies."
Bender: "Who cares?"
Alison: "...I care."
____________________
I've seen The Breakfast Club a million times, and I choke up every time Alison says those two words. Considering her reputation throughout the film to say seemingly odd things, the fact that she responded with "I care" shows not only that she takes her words very seriously, but that they hold a truth that terrifies her, as well as every other character in the film.
What are some movie lines that you all consider the greatest ever? Please do share. I'd love to see what you all think.

Mrs. Griffith confessed to giving Micah chlamydia and Olive agreed to take the blame.
The part that always gets me is: Mrs. Griffith confessed to giving Micah chlamydia and Olive agreed to take the blame.

The Funny:
From Bridesmaids- (Kristen Wiig is on a plane, tripping out after ingesting a mixture of alcohol and Xanax): "There's a colonial woman on the wing! She's churning butter! There's something they're not telling us!"
From Mean Girls- (in a sex-ed class): "Don't have sex. You'll get pregnant, and you'll die. Now everyone take some rubbers."
Pretty much anything from The Princess Bride.
"No more rhyming, and I mean it!"
"Anybody want a peanut?"
"He's only mostly dead."
"Have fun storming the castle!"
From Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers: "There's good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for." Almost made me cry.

I find myself inadvertently quoting some line or another from Ghostbusters almost every day of my life. I dunno if that's a testament to the lines or acting in the film, or just a sign that I've seen it too many times.

Galaxy Quest: "Hey! Don't open that! It's an alien planet, Is there air? YOU DON'T KNOW!"

"And the flowers are still standing!"
More of a speech than a line, but I've always loved the part in Spiderman 2 when aunt May is talking to Peter about heroes, hinting that she knows he's Spiderman and the world needs him.
"He knows a hero when he sees one. Too few characters out there, flying around like that, saving old girls like me. And Lord knows, kids like Henry need a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer them, scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams. Spider-Man did that for Henry and he wonders where he's gone. He needs him."

" 'I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast.'
'You eat pieces of shi for breakfast?'
'...N-no.'"
"You're gonna die, clown!"
"The price is wrong, Bobby!"
"Water sucks, it really really sucks!"
"Gaaaaaay-torade."
(The entire bathroom scene in White Chicks.)
"A venomuos cobra bit my hand. 12 hours of excruciating pain later, the snake died."
