There still hasn't even been an announcement of when they intend to start restoring psn in Hong Kong. For F@#$ sake Sony, this really is beyond a joke.

I really feel with Sony. I hope they will restore PSN soon so they can move on with their lives. I blame the hackers, not Sony for all of this. It isn't really Sony's fault.

Well, im not really sure how i feel about this one. When it comes to verifying your identity, what pieces of information do you have that HAVENT been compromised in the ApocalyPS3? The only one i can really think of is your Social Security number, and i for one would never give that online. So Sony is kinda out of options when it comes to proving you are who you say you are. Sony is gonna have to look at this from outside the box. It looks like the hackers just painted Sony into a corner.

It would be easier for sony to spend money on overtiming their call centers and make the password and account reverification by phone, and also add new questions.
Still, tough cookies. Im an Xbox fanboy, but I just dont even think this is entertaining anymore. I was hoping this would be done, over with and we could all look back together and giggle from time to time.

i own both systems. i have yet to cease my giggling
I have not even touched a PS3, or been in the same room as one(unless being in Best Buy counts) but this is stupid.
It's not like it's all to blame on the hackers, like really, who decided this Email shit was a good idea? Clearly someone who wasn't thinking right, and rushed into a bad decision.
Says alot about how sony reacts when stuff like this happens.

This belongs in General Discussion.
I hate the condescending attitude in that article.
"We're wondering how many "hiccups" Sony needs to have, before it understands the seriousness of getting its online security right."
Sony's fucking trying. What the hell. Do you have a better solution?
I don't even have a PS3, but I feel for the company and its user base.

Is it in any way acceptable to feel for the userbase but not the company?

Yes.

^^ Very good, then. Sony, you stink. Work on your customer service better.
That is all.

When I first read the title of the thread, I thought it said "The latest in Sonya".
Apparently, I need new glasses.
